Think of onStart as preprocessing. It basically calls the logic once instead of repeatedly calling it like onLoop. onExit is the same as onStart, but for when you exit the script. People mostly use it to leave a goodbye message.

If you are referring to the bot client, it has not been updated for some time now, so what are you talking about? If you are referring to local scripts, feel free to use the old ones. No one is stopping you. Just don't complain when it doesn't work or you get banned.
