BETA v1.7.37/38
I didn't. I only disable versions if there is a significant flaw with them. With 1.7.36, you can still run essentially flawlessly using certain scripts. Randoms should generally be about the same between the two versions. So, nothing significant enough to compel disabling it.

BETA v1.7.37/38
v1.7.38: Some API stuff related to messages that XavierM wanted (I don't remember). v1.7.37: Fixed getHealth() (for combat) and selectEntity() (looting issues included). Sincerely, The OSBot Team.

BETA v1.7.36
Combat issues and a lot of randoms should be fixed. Older versions are disabled because it's obviously not a good idea to leave something unstable running. Thanks @XavierM for bringing it to my attention. Sincerely, The OSBot Team

BETA v1.7.35
Why? Maybe cuz jagex updated runescape? Maybe because there was already v1.7.34 and in 15 minutes, boom v1.7.35. I'm just curious about little changes. 1.7.34 was pushed to server at 11:47. 1.7.35 was pushed to server at 16:44. I wonder how 5 hours became 15 minutes.

BETA v1.7.35
I'm not completely convinced this is stable yet, but I'd like some feedback on it. Thanks.

BETA v1.7.34
Shutting this down while we investigate a few things. It may take hours, but it's for the better good.
-
BETA v1.7.34
I've already noticed the issues. I should have tested first lol.
-
BETA v1.7.34
I suppose I'll leave up the random stuff for a few hours. Usually I only leave it up for a few minutes.

BETA v1.7.34
To Whom It May Concern: This is a letter about stuff. Sincerely, The OSBot Team

QConstruction
Where exactly is the 'Testers forum' located? It's a private forum with access granted to people who have previously tested/reviewed scripts.
-
QConstruction
A thread was just made in the Testers forum. Hopefully a couple of people will volunteer to test it out. I don't actually have an account with decent construction levels or the money to do it (I don't really bot or play RS).

Everyone blames the "staff". STFU already.
Just btw, zach didn't "get" admin, is a developer and has been one since the start of osbot. ^. I've been there since the start when I was asked to assist in certain areas. Generally behind the scenes stuff. I tend to get stuff related to reverse engineering and/or server related tasks. Basically, I work on stuff that makes all of OSBot work together. Of course, we all do everything to a certain extent. As we've been behind, I have been handling most/all of the SDN issues. Seeing that I had programmed significant sections of it, I suppose it makes sense. I also don't like doing too many things out in the public, so you don't see me making release threads unless no one else is available to do it. As many people know, I have better things to do beyond RS. So, bothering me with trivial stuff doesn't usually get very far unless I'm in a good mood.

SDN Scripters
There are 2 SDN scripters sections. I have no clue why though. Edit: Policy change implemented. If your update request is hidden/deleted/gone, then it's updated. That way you guys can keep posting whatever.

How we can trust osbot that the database won't leak again?
Kati was an admin, not a developer. The only three people left with unrestricted access to the database are the three developers that started OSBot. I don't think any of us are going to sell out our own project. Security is tighter and we're still working on improving it. No one can guarantee that it won't happen again, but we can certainly do our best to ensure that it won't.

PC vs. Mac Debate
First of all, there are pros and cons to practically everything. Both OSes have their advantages and disadvantages. Windows is an operating system for most businesses. Many will agree that Windows has far more features geared towards remote management/deployment/etc. Office for Mac is basically a nuked version of Office for Windows. If you disagree, it's likely because you don't use the more advanced features. Microsoft is also more friendly towards business IT policies. There are other reasons for why Windows is better that I'm not going to mention as my goal is just to give an overall picture. I feel that Mac OSX is somewhere in between Windows and Linux. It's an operating system that's based on Unix and thus, has certain advantages stemming from that background (look into this if you want, I'm not going to write an essay extolling the virtues of *nix). Because it's more popular than Linux, we see that it also has more programs available for general use. Obviously Linux still dominates it in terms of development tools. So if you want something for development and general work and don't want to use both Windows and Linux, then Mac OSX seems like a good option. Some people may not even need to use Linux for development, so Windows may work best for them. It all depends. Personally, I've used Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX. I favor Windows for school/uni work because of some of the programs available for it (touch and pen-sensitive for writing/drawing diagrams is helpful as well). My peers with MacBooks end up carrying a MacBook and an iPad/tablet and syncing the two for their notes. Obviously my approach is simpler and more effective here, but it all depends on your situation. I also use Linux virtual machine(s) for testing and development. Yes, you could do it in OSX as well using Homebrew, Macports, etc. As for Mac OSX, it usually sits unused, simply because I find that Windows or Linux does the job better. I haven't really found a case where OSX would have done the job better than one of those OSes, but I'm sure they exist. Now, when it comes to laptops, I generally favor the ThinkPad and MacBook line due to their build. I've used both for an extensive amount of time and usually end up buying more ThinkPads, but that's usually because ThinkPads are undeniably more durable (some of the newer ThinkPads are a bit iffy in that regard). MacBook Pros with Retina obviously win in the screen battle. So it's really about what you value more. In the end, people should choose technology that lets them get work done. I do believe that most people choosing OSX are doing it for the cool factor rather than anything else though. But that's my own personal experience and I can't back that up with statistics or anything.

IMPORTANT: Our Database Has Been Leaked!
Your forum password was stored as a salted hash. Please note that a hash is not the same as "encryption", so google it if you must .

IMPORTANT: Our Database Has Been Leaked!
I verified it by flipping through logs and determining that the forum database had been dumped and extracted from the server. As for when specifically it was leaked, I have no idea. Yea, it's being looked at. But at the moment, there is no indication that it occurred. But better to be safe than sorry. Your password was stored as a salted hash, with a salt generated for each user.

[08/07/2013] Downtime
It was a DDoS attack a few days ago. But today's had nothing to do with a DDoS attack.

Stepping up
As a note, SRL has also been hacked and had their database compromised. I suggest everyone that uses the same passwords start changing them.

We've Migrated To Our New Dedicated!
Yup.

BETA v1.7.12
Weird. I'll have to check into it since I don't remember all that was changed with 1.7.12.

BETA v1.7.12
Weird. I'm assuming this is Java 7u25? I haven't tested it on that yet, so I'll have to follow up with you on it later.

BETA v1.7.12
To the people with IPs that look something like 80.***.***.*** and had trouble connecting to the bot server yesterday. We experienced an attack on our server from multiple IPs in that range. Due to multiple rules, some people may have used the bot fine. Regardless, generally speaking, parts of that IP range was blocked temporarily to allow the server to continue serving other users without disruption. It has since been removed.

BETA v1.7.11
Yea that was me at 1AM last night. Please report any bugs with it (including any grammatical errors, or any other ways of wording the text in the confirmation box).
