I highly doubt those who are good enough for such a rank would walk in and apply just to leech VIP from this site. They probably have their own private functioning bots.

I agree with this to an extent, a rank would be nice to have to recognize those who are exceptional in programming. However, I believe instead of it being called 'Java Expert', it should relate to programming in general, kind of like how the Fellow or Scholar rank is at other forums.

I think that a thread that explains such would actually be a good idea, kind of like how Sythe has a thread titled 'Where did (insert member's username here) go?' It could provide the community with insight regarding the ban, and also staying safe from possible future scams. As a result of the ban on the account, that drastically reduces the value in it, even if it was only a two day ban. The reason for this is because an account that has a ban on it already is more prone to getting another ban, which could possibly be a permanent ban. I would say in my opinion the account is worth around 5m.

A much simpler way of doing this is installing the Ad Block Plus extension and just blocking the element, as shown below.
