I love hearing how people get into botting and how they ended up here. I got into botting with my obsession with wanting to get 99 fishing. Around 2009/10 I came across ebot, I think it was, that had a solid script for the living rock caverns. Left it on while I went to school and had 99 in no time. With all the money I made I got supplies for fletching then botted to 99 to trim the fishing cape. It was so much easier back then. If only I knew about farming gold back then.. Got back into botting again earlier this year. Went through other clients but I really enjoy and trust this client/community.

Wonderful. Monkey Madness was always so annoying cause of that puzzle and it was definitely not worth 200k. Didn't even have to re-log. Went right into it and finished in less than 5 mins

Ha, these comments are hilarious... But i've once used a single proxy for over 20 suicides over the span of a week and a half or so. Not all at once but batches of 2-3 at a time. It slowly got very inefficient obviously. The last 5 or so got banned very quickly. I would love to run 10+ but my laptop seems to peak at around 5 clients max. On another note I don't know if botting around jagex working hours actually works. I've had accounts banned before my eyes when it was in the middle of the night for jagex (assuming they run on London time if i'm correct?). Weekend botting is a different story though.

From what I've seen the bots that answer lvl questions are the biggest giveaway. People laugh at the bots and spam the question so the bot constantly answers

I see under the features of the VIP package it states "Mirror Mode Unlocked" but when I start the client and select mirror mode I get a dialogue, "Mirror Mode for VIP+ users only". Was the feature changed and if so does the VIP details need to be updated? I tried starting the client anyway with Mirror Mode on and the client gets stuck on "Searching for osrs client to attach to".

Luckily I had friends introduce me to the game so they helped me out some at first. But eventually I passed them up and they quit then I discovered RuneHQ

If you're still having trouble with this, whenever I open mine I always have to right-click and open with "Java TM Platform SE Binary". I also ran jarfix as well before.

Yup, It's always a possibility. Jagex chain bans by IP to prevent gold farming. However, I have accounts that I'm playing on at this moment by hand that were made on my home IP that has also had other perma bans associated with it in the past. So if you casual bot I'd say you could probably get away with it (at your own risk) but if you're running a bot farm then definitely get an IP.

I had the similar thought. It's good for script writers as it could bring more business, but for people trying to not get banned using these scripts it could be bad.

I use Czars fishing script. Doesn't get stuck and has many options loaded in the gui

Oh ha, I'm too damn literal... Well I must've been unlucky.. My main had around 130 QP and didn't bot so heavily either. Only yaks/moss giants/ and alching. Maybe it was cause I was using RM at the time. I don't trust the scripts there anymore
