  9. So my chem final is tonight in like 7 hours, and I'm looking over this practice test that I've heard is very similar to last years final, few problems I don't understand how to do so hopefully you guys/girls can help, and ill forever be in your debt Problem 1: Problem 2: On this problem I assume the orbital B is the largest since principal quantum number = Size Problem 3: Problem 4/5: For question 27, it appears like a trigonal pyramid so the angle should be 120 degrees ? And on Problem 28, the carbon is surrounded by 4 electron domains so it would be a tetrahederal which means its sp3 hybridized orbitals ? Problem 6/7: Problem 33 always trips me up I forget how to calculate percent yield of a substance and for Problem 34 do I have to find the molar mass of the solute NaNo3 ? Thanks !!!!!!
  10. gz to my bois @transporter and @@Bamboozled
  11. Ahh the helps a whole lot, so I see the carbons now but, what about nitrogen, what does the line coming from the top of the right structure linked to the N mean ? Yea it was confusing, but now that I think of it it might've been a bonus question because it was the last question on the test but either way it got my mind thinking
  12. Thanks both for the help makes better since now , and yea I've only had like one problem like this on a past test and it was a CH3 molecule and it asked how many lone pairs it needed to complete its lewis structure, I guessed 0 and got it right, but im sitting here reviewing all my material and it was frustrating me cause I couldn't understand how to read it/how I got it write, because i just see a hexagon shape with 3 lines inside.
  13. what exactly is the point ? And thanks for putting a helpful post Thanks fellow twc member="adapt" made it for me I found random examples from the internet, and its not really homework its just I see pictures like the 2nd one and have no clue how to tell how many bonds are in it
