As of now, OSBot is the biggest and most popular Old School bot. But from the way it looks now, it won't be in a few months. Soon other botting sites will start to become more popular and OSBot will start to decline. Here are some improvements that I, and hopefully many others, think is necessary if OSBot wants to remain the #1 Old School bot: Admins: There are 40k registered members, and 4 admins. And only one of those is active on the forums, who is Raflesia (doing a great job btw). For that many members there needs to be a whole lot more Admins. Poor Raflesia has to do all the work . As for Maxi, Laz, and Zach, I know you are developing the bot which I will get into later. OSBot Client Development: A lot of us are paying members, and we expect to get what we paid for. As far as I'm concerned there are only 3 people working on the client (may be more). No wonder it takes way too long for things to get updated. There NEEDS to be more people working on the client! I cannot understand how this bot isn't completely flawless yet, well considering it has barely changed in a month. And Maxi hasn't even been on since August 22nd...and I see a lot of people saying how life comes before RuneScape, but no, OSBot is a business, they make money, it isn't just some fun thing. I've heard some rumors about a car accident or something, and of course then I can understand why Maxi has been gone. But really, there are tons of talented programmers here, OSBot needs more developers. Randoms: Ok, randoms are part of the trickiest things about botting. I can understand that it must be very hard to make bots have random support, but cmon, frog cave hasn't been fixed for nearly two months, and its only a 3 second conversation and then the random is done. Its these types of smallish things that will make OSBot decline, just like Jagex did to RuneScape. I've read that other bots already have full random support. I personally think randoms should be top priority, and not OSBot 2, its annoying to always have to find your bots stuck in a random. So basically that sums up what I wanted to say...and althouh it may not seem that way now, other bots will soon beat OSBot. So please try and ya know, maybe work more on it or hire more people. This is not a hate thread, so please don't lock it. This took me a while to write on my phone :P. Please like this thread to show support!

Not much sadly, which is why he needs full permissions, but I understand why the other admins have to take precautions before just handing permissions out.

I already made the transition to the competitor. It's been 20 days since randoms broke due to a RS update and they still haven't been fixed. No point in paying to use a client that isn't updated and doesn't even work properly when there is a better & cheaper alternative.

The problem is also that it seems like the admins dont care. Whenever I send Zach a PM he just ignores it and leaves rather than taking 30 seconds of his life to reply to it. How are they going to keep scripters/other menbers when they can't even treat them properly

You are right, it is not as popular as it was, but it is still crazy popular. 70k+ players everyday is A LOT! Let's be honest, 95% of RuneScape players who started before 2012 have botted at least once, that 5% is those parental guarded kids or seriously legit kids...only newcomers play legit before getting tired of this.

Hello community. Earlier last month, we announced our plans to begin our development on OSBot 2. Well this has already happened. Much work has been happening on OSBot 2. I will provide you guys with a sneak-peak and some improvements from it's predecessor, OSBot 1. Latest improvements: JavaFX based GUI (new GUI system allows for a more customizable look and feel and a richer GUI) (Note: RS2 would normally not be compatible with JavaFX, however, we used a combination of injection and mapping to display a fully functioning applet on the JavaFX GUI.) Tab monitors (new, low performance-impact, tab monitors allows the botter to monitor all open tabs at the same time. Multi-logger system (logs can be split among'st separate tabs, allowing the botter to better debug scripts.) Context menus (allows simpler access to toggling painters and other settings) Improved Low-CPU (clocks frame-rate at around 10-20FPS, which is much higher than OSBot 1's FPS during low-CPU.) (Offers a significant decrease in CPU usage despite the FPS increase.) Optimized API wrapper engine (improvement in the injection level of the bot has allowed for a more optimized wrapper system saving a significant amount of CPU). Optimized callback system (Thanks to our improved API wrapper engine, we are able to optimize the caching of data like models more accurately, thus using less resources). Why? Lots of VPN's are flagged because goldfarmers are known to use VPNs, or atleast they did. I don't know how popular it is now since a tonne of the vpn's are flagged, and not alot offer static ip's unless you have a good reason (I wanna be a goldfarmer generally isn't one). But if you bot at your home IP it could potentially get banned and then you might be putting your main at risk. Anyways, if you do get a VPN, try to get one with a static IP so that you know there aren't any other botters who could potentially use your IP when you aren't on.

thanks for the update, although i recommend everyone be careful for a while because i just got banned also, been botting for weeks fine 24hrs a day and now after this bank stuff ive been banned. no biggie only 2 days but be careful peeps.

It'll be fixed soon.. patience you cheaters. We already don't do shit legit.. so why not get a str lvl or 2 playing legit while it updates.. then all is back to normal. This shit is free and ppl still act like its world war 3 because it's not fixed within moments of some of us not being able to bot lol. Sit back in your chair, live a little, and be patient. Don't get too cocky, I was like you for like 5 years, I finally got banned last month. Exact same thing with me I was boasting to my friends, "Dude i'm trying to get banned it's just not possible for me :[" next day ban lol

Agree. If Raflesia had full admin position a lot of issues could be sorted within a matter of hours, rather than days. The whole banking situation took too long to sort out, I noticed ATLEAST 2 Developers online in the period when the bot was messing up with the banking system after the update and yet they didn't even make a thread saying they're working on it or pop into the chat to just tell everyone it'll be fixed shortly... At the moment it seems as if the Developers don't care, Raf puts a lot of effort into this but it's too much for one guy to handle I do believe we need either Smart or Cata to be promoted to Admin with Raf, then send a global mod up to Super and then recruit another Global (with BETTER TIMEZONES!) tl;dr Devs need to put more effort into showing they care, get more help for raf.

Just as a heads up to everyone, this is a free trial. Anybody can go on skytap and get one of these. You get 750 SVM hours (basically a measurement of how long you have to use the vps). The number of SVM hours you consume each hour depends on the number of processors/ram you choose to have. With the OP's current setup ,you would be using 6 svm hours per hour, and from the screenshot he has 627 hours left. So at these specs you would be able to use the vps for just over 100 hours. Also, just go to the website and you can register for one of these free trials. All you need to do is make up a company name and give them an email address, you don't even need a verified credit card

dont mean to sound mean but Theres probably like 10k users that just come to osbot for the bot they probably wont put any money towards osbot. Whats the point of even having them? Im sure if osbot became $1 if you just want to bot one acc they would get a lot more sales. Support the thread though
