    Because they make too much income to really care, and PayPal always sides with the buyer on virtual goods.

    They can do, it depends the amount & payment method etc.

    Doesn't your friend get in trouble legally for chargebacking that huge amount? 500 m? Don't think they would just let it go

    That's illegal. 

    If he is in the same state/country as the goldsellingsite owner he could get in deep trouble.

    Or they contact Paypal, inform them of the chargeback and he gets into trouble then. I don't see how they would even let it slide

     

    But if it is like you're saying, i doubt he lives in China lol
