Forum Suggestion:Bring back sub categories for spam section.

Featured Replies

At the end of the day spam is spam sure.

However I feel some types of "Spam" should be divided accordingly so they're not buried underneath the ocean of random crap(especially what I post lel) in spam.

For example if you want to discuss a specific music video or type of genre such a thread would have a better chance of standing out in a sub category for music.

Real life section was really neat and a fun and safe way for OSBot members to share random things about their life. Sometimes people would ask for advice and in those cases especially such threads would stand a better chance of being taken seriously if posted in a section designed for such sections(as opposed to a catchall category like spam).

In short having a logical division of threads in spam based on similarities makes for an easier browsing experience when looking for specific types of threads/discussions.

Thanks for reading and let me know your thoughts on the matter and whether or not you support this.

You got my support on your suggestion!

Moved to suggestions.

Also I was also thinking about bringing this up. Not sure why subs were removed, some more than others.

Thanks Asuna =)

Yeah I know what you mean. It's like I just woke up one morning back in March or April and then it was removed.

i like this idea. would make everything more organised and easier to locate.

7 topics in forum games. Do we really need a sub-forum for 7 topics?

I see where you're going with this Alek but that's only one example of a sub-forum.

Whereas Real-Life,music and whatever else used to be there are way more specific/relatable and thus had more topics and purpose than forum games.

We can try implementing some of the sub-forums again, but they are going to need to do better than 2 topics/month to survive.

Thanks for understanding Alek. Although I am curious now whether or not that is why those sub forums were shut down originally?

I thought music/media and real life were doing well originally and that's why I used them as examples.

Actually Alek and I talked about this and I was against it, he was for it. After a long talk we looked through and seen all the sections that were removed were very inactive. 2-3 topics per week maybe. If that, so we decided to consolidate them to take up less space, to make it seem a bit more smooth and easier to navigate.

i think forum games/music/gaming/ Television (Or Media if you want to combine music an tv)/

are subs that may not pull the most attention, but apply to to majority of people, and would help add to the social structure side of the site while keeping it realitvly clean.

People don't want to post their favorite media or gaming plays because if they post in spam they just receive shit posts instead of any actual feedback just because of how the rules work in spam section
