Updates vs supports

I dont get why Jagex doesnt fix their shitty servers and update their ddos protection before adding more updates.

Let's say jagex is an engine, and the updates to the game is a turbo and boost. Add too much boost before adding supporting mods will just detonate the whole engine.  Jagex is 1 update before the whole thing fails.

A common argument against Jagex recently is that when Xbox/PSN where being DDOSed, they upgraded their servers to stop the attacks, and if that they could do it, so could Jagex.

Well, they couldnt do it. The attacks only stopped because Kim Dotcom paid Lizard Squad $300,000 to stop. Even this wasnt a permanant soultion, they started DDOSing the servers again a couple of months later, and Xbox couldn't do jack shit about it.

They are also focused on OSRS because of a player called 'Savaged' who is friends with people in the group; they DDOSed the shit out of the servers when he got muted ingame. No other game has been targeted this badly for this long, and Jagex (especially OSRS) are tiny compared to Microsoft and Sony.

So stop complaining, stop 'rioting', they say that they are trying their best to upgrade their servers as best they can, but maybe no amount of protection is going to help. If you were in Jagexs' shoes what would you do? These guys just hacked Taylor Swifts Twitter account, have taken down LoL servers, PSN, Xbox live. What can Jagex do, apart from try to upgrade their servers?

Its a shitty situation, no doubt about it, but the fact that we have still been getting regular content updates and Q and A's from the J Mods own homes makes me feel partly grateful to Jagex that they have tried to power on through this shit, and get business done as usual.

If you're trying to say there's nothing they can do... well, no. They can but they would need more resources. For example, picture google. Wana try and take that down? go ahead lol, lizard squad for sure can't...
