From the talk around reddit it seems that the dupe was at rat pits (which has been removed without a poll so something was going on there). People were able to bet up to 50,000 platinum tokens which is equal to 50 million gp.

Maybe not the best idea. I played a game back in the day and my friends discovered a way to duplicate an item called a chroma which changes the color of items. They got rare colors and started making a lot of items with rare colors and selling it for ingame gold and then rwt that gold. The gold price in that game was like $1m for $60 but they fucked the gold prices so much if stayed around $30 for the rest of the years i played.

Spent my cash stack on this bug. 41M into platinum tokens, bet on rat pit 50k a time for about 5 hours, 240M return. Traded to a new mule acc as I'm not accustomed to runescape money laundering, hope I don't get banned... Lmao.
