RS Crashing On VPS After ~1 Hour

Featured Replies

This is an ongoing problem which is really preventing me from making as much money as I can goldfarming..

On my VPS, after approx. 1 hour runescape will crash/black screen which then screws up my bot. This happens both when loading RS through chrome and through the official client. On chrome, it simply black screens random after 30-90 mins, in the client the whole screen will just freeze and stay frozen until you restart it.

Yes I am using mirror mode. Presumably this is CPU related as it does run at about 90% CPU normally. Any idea how I can prevent this happening though?

This happens on one of my VPS's also. There is nothing you can do to prevent this, unfortunately. Really your only option is to get a VPS with more CPU power.

I asked MGI a few weeks back what you should look for when purchasing a VPS for mirror and he said "as many real cpu cores as possible with large cache sizes".

Hmm, this is sort of what I figured. Really sucks to hear lol.

I currently pay ~$23 per month for a VPS that is only capable of running 1 mirror mode bot.

If you or anyone has any better recommendations.. I'm all ears wub.png
