Paypal verifcation question

Featured Replies

So my friend just told me I could buy a credit/debit card at 7/11 and I want some more info and I'm posting it here incase anyone can help.

My main question is: will it verify my paypal account so I can use it to buy things off of ebay?

Can you post me a picture of what the card looks like?

Is there a card I should get because its the best?

Any charges for usage?

Thanks for all who read and much more thanks for those who answer.

I've been selling my gold for awhile now for amazon gift cards because I buy a lot of things on their but recently I've found less things that I'd like to buy so i decided to shop on ebay for things that amazon doesn't sell.

Unless they changed something, that should work.

It needs to be a prepaid visa with about $5 on it for it to work. After it's been verified, you can spend that $5 on whatever - I'll even buy it if you want. tongue.png

Edit: The card company would charge a fee ($3-5) to load the card and you can't reload it if it's a prepaid card.

Once you put money on the card, you can't add money, you can only spend. You'll need about $5 on the card so it'll cost about $10 - activation fee + money on card - for it to be set up.

Will not 100% verify it to my knowledge, but you should be able to buy items off of eBay if there's enough credit on the card

It doesn't verify, but it lifts the limits so you can receive/spend money.

I used to do this with PP.

Just know that if you enter fake info, you can get chargedback - if you sell to someone and they chargeback you - and PP will limit your account and request basically all your info. If you put in fake info, you'll have to forget the account and any money on it.

If you use your real info, and get chargedback, you'll probably get limited until you submit additional info and then they may restrict your usage and such.

Thanks! I'm going to be buying one after my classes tomorrow but thanks for the offer smile.png

Is there any specific pre paid visa card I should get or are any fine?

Also is there like a max amount of money I can send? I was thinking of sending money to a family member's paypal so I can get the cash in person. Would this plan work?

Why not grab a debit card from your bank and link that? You can always cancel it right after. I always seemed to have issues buying cards and trying to link them, all of the spare Visa's I have from birthdays and such wouldn't work as PayPal didn't like them for some reason.

Im pretty sure you need to add a bank account to your paypal account in order to be verified.

In order for them to be able to verify your identity you need to sign up with a traceable account.

Most prepaid card services have been blocked from PP, which makes total sense tongue.png

Btw, I was able to make purchases on Ebay with paypal before I verified my account.

You could always buy the green dot card. And transfer the money into PayPal. Then just purchase stuff off of pp

If you want to give money to someone you can just get a moneypak card. It's basically a paypal gift card.

But will the visa gift card fo the trick and let me buy things off paypal? I thought that you needed some sort of card on PP to buy things of ebay. Sometimes I would have liked to send like money to a parent so I can use it to get some food or something but mainly wanted in on PP for items.

You need to provide your SSN along with other personal information in order to redeem a moneypak. Not a desirable way to get paid :p

Kind of. Honestly IMO Dont use paypal at all. My account is frozen for the dumbest of reasons. Use skrll
