Do bots have a moral code?

Featured Replies

We all bot here, gathering immense amounts of wealth with minimal effort. But do you have a code of your own? Mine is to not bot on top of another bot. If I see someone going for a limited resource, which I can simply world hop to an empty world, then I will. I would not fight over that little area like dogs for a bone and thus destroy both of our profit margins. So what about you? Do you have a moral code to botting?

I wouldn't call it a code, but I do the same if I see someone else botting.

If I'd be doing activities such as woodcutting, and there's 20 bots at one tree, then yes, I would hop worlds like yourself.

I have no code. I am Occazn. Bots that aren't programmed to hop, hop anyway just with my presence being there.

Bots are like cheap sweatshop workers. Work them hard, long hours. :D My code of ethical treatment for nonorganic workers.

If I bot something with limited resources, then I will hop if there are to many bots. Only because it affects gp/ph eventually, if I stay there

If I bot and I see other botters I usually defend them saying something like "No we're in a cc together thats why. Our chat is on hide, he can still see what you say!" But I do report.. IF someone has a retarded name like asgggd123 or k1kdd2k3 jjjgbdfaq2. Has gold farm written all over it. Can't stand gold farmers who cant even give their accounts names :\

General moral code I've seen since botting in 2008:

Don't report other bots (unless it's some random gold farmer, who came from nowhere and stole your spot)

Don't steal a limited resource spot

Always cover your name, and others if you are posting a screenshot

I always go to worlds minimum of 200 people but I did go to world 1 to get 99 fletching at pest control because there was around 40 people there.

I do hop if there's people there cause it'll drop my exp/gp.
