Anaesthetic
Everyone is giving some random answers... It's obviously because Acerd isn't CBA. Yes. finally someone gets it! OSRS isn't dying. Take a look: http://www.crystalmathlabs.com/tracker/players.php. It's developer inactivity / not giving a rat's ass, which leads to bans. I've found multiple vulnerabilities in the OSBot 2 client that are dead giveaways to Jagex that you're a bot. No amount of quality script writing, proxies, or private scripts are going to stop the bans as long as these vulnerabilities exist in the client. You're back! Maybe you should alert the developers of the vulnerabilities?
Dashboard
Yes. finally someone gets it! You're back! Maybe you should alert the developers of the vulnerabilities? False - I'm not back. And I'm no-longer helping the developers after their actions.
Administrator Maldesto Posted August 3, 2014 Administrator Share Posted August 3, 2014 False - I'm not back. And I'm no-longer helping the developers after their actions. Then why'd you beg laz for an unban?
Dashboard
Then why'd you beg laz for an unban? So our customers can contact me if SSF script breaks? And I'd like to see your definition of beg.
Swizzbeat
Yeah, botting in general is dying, however there are more people on OSRS now due to F2P opening up. I gotta agree with @Dashboard. When it comes to bot detection there are so many things bot developers have to account for there's a good chance at least one is going to slip their minds. Even something as simple as subclassing the Canvas for that bot paint overlay you guys all love is asking for a ban if you don't do it right. Jagex literally just has to send a superclass request and if they get something like "Lorg/osbot/BotCanvas;" back it's a dead giveaway. Obviously there are ways to get around this, like routing requests such as these to the unmodified jar using a separate class loader, however then comes the issue of giving the correct response back (NoSuchMethodException instead of a null value for example). One incorrect piece of data is a flag to Jagex that you're cheating. Edited August 3, 2014 by Swizzbeat

The ban rate on OSRS isn't that high, it's just high on OSBot, the devs have to seriously patch some stuff because now it's like doing something illegal with several spotlights with full power on you Edited August 3, 2014 by Raflesia
