Impassive Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 hey eid m uekaik everyone!!!! every year i say this but i have still not be touched by allah1!!! Eid Mubarak! Lol. Why make fun? It's not necessarily about being "touched by Allah." I honestly wouldn't even classify myself as Muslim anymore, because I disagree with a lot of it, but I still value this experience. The month is about reflecting and becoming a better person. It's a cleanse of the mind and soul. It's also a very humbling experience, because fasting puts you(mildly) in the shoes of those in less fortunate situations. I know people who aren't even remotely religious that still decide to take part in this experience. One of them is a famous strength coach youtuber, Elliot Hulse, and he said that in life everyone is always grinding their ass off and are aggressive towards their goal. By fasting, you're forced to chill for a bit, since you don't have as much energy, and focus the little energy you have mentally on yourself to emerge even stronger after the month is over. All I'm saying is, it's offensive to poke fun like that, but oh well, I will live with it. I hope I gave you a little insight that it's not about being "touched by Allah" or whatever your joke was. Hope ya learned something friend. 1

I have nothing against Muslims and i really admire people who fast, but I don't think it's fair to force religion upon people and I wanted to add another viewpoint on the thread. It wasn't a serious post. I'm sorry for posting it 1
