Out of observing multiple threads on this forum,
it's annoying to see the Scripters take 0% responsibility for their customers getting bans,
that according to me is one of the top reasons why the OSbot community is declining.

Cocky scripters,get grounded
cause since no one can prove OSbot is detectable or otherwise
due to lack of evidence on both

Start with some humility followed by some insight on how the customer who paid for your script
can better improve his chances of NOT getting banned rather than 
Blatantly accusing him of being a dumb botter (botting 24 hours/same IP/no breaks)
and other such petty excuses

I thought the users of the scripts were clueless on the ban process
but after much reading turns out that
majority scripters don't know what the f is going on with their scripts and ban rates
and thus,resort to blaming the user.

This is a reality check for the community ranging from the Owner/Developer to the Customers.
Take the finances in account
-Buying a script(s)
-Buying VIP
-Buying RS membership(s)
-Buying Proxies/VPS/VPN
All of that ^
+ the legit hours you put in the bot to make it a successful bot (unlike the suicide bots)

If all of that is resulting in bans
(regardless of the script you're running,the maximum amount you can survive is a week)
It's a lie if anyone tells you otherwise.

The thumb rule with botting is:
You bot,you will get banned,
but when you get banned depends on the efficiency of the client and Scripts
and currently
Jagex is slitting throats of our OSbots,instead of blood our money is oozing out (with all the expenditures and barely any cost recovery)



PS: Scripters,keep blaming the users,and you wouldn't have OSbot running let alone your script selling.
PSS: If you still think this is a rant, then boy you're just proving me right.

When 1:150 people using the script complain about getting banned, it's probably not the scriptwriter's fault. 

 

I don't see any valid points in here. 

 

None of my bots are getting banned cause I know how to bot carefully.

Look at the users to complaints ratios on threads, not in the bans section or your generalizing and not making accurate accusations

I run a plethora of private scripts every day, I have the client open almost 24h/24h.

I have around 30 test accounts.

 

If the client were detectable and usage of it penalized (regardless of HOW you use it) then all accounts would have been banned already, yet they are not.

 

All my private scripts rely on a private library based on the OSBot API, all of my private scripts are based on this private library.

If the OSBot API methods were detectable then all 30 accounts would also be dead, but they are not.

 

when I get banned it's entirely my fault, it's either me botting unrealistically (killing rats with a bronze sword from level 1 attack to level 60 attack in one go for example), an unlucky bust or a chainban when I bot to many accounts on the same IP and one of them gets busted.

 

 

So you are saying dont blame the botter, blame the scripter.

That is like if I said I hate you. Then you turn around and say that it is wrong for me to hate you, but that you hate me and that it is ok for you to hate me.

 

You are playing a blame game, and all you are doing is pointing the finger the other way.

People need to provide for their failures to prove whose it is. That's like me slamming into your car with mine and suing you.

Do you even understand anything of what's going on?

It's not only Osbot, it's every other client out there.

Since osbot is pretty big it looks like there more bans here then on other client, not hard when your 10-20 times as big.

 

We scripters can't take responsibility from bans if the client isn't working proper.

We've reported all those issues and they take way too long to get fixed... should change somehting, but apparently @Laz still think then can do it alone, which is not true as far as I can see.

 

Instead you blaming anyone, i rather be quiet and just watch how jagex might succeed finanly.

People get banned because they bot, botting it not allowed... end of story!

ofcourse scripts can be made better... The scripts now are made way way way way better then the scripts in the past, still the bann rate is high... 

 

example: Update 2.2.9 more humanlike mousemovements.

Then why is the mouse teleporting from place to place instead MOVING to the location!?

1) I am a computer engineering major, not an english major.

2) You had so many grammar mistakes its not even funny, so dont critique others.

3) If our intellect is so infererior to yours, show us how perfect you can script and produce some scripts.

 

If you cant even remotely do something and have no solution to the way others are doing it, then dont bitch about it. You would have no idea, nor the intellectual capacity to follow the programming logic some of us scripters use.

-No, I DO NOT have a COMPLETE idea of what is going on,that is EXACTLY what is bugging me.

-OSbot contrary to what it advertises is NOT the most popular botting client.

-I fully agree,no matter the potential of the Developer,the efficient running of OSbot is definitely is NOT a one man job.

PS: this not a thread that is playing the Blame-game,

rather it is requesting scripters and users to coherently communicate to come up with better survival rates

instead of the customer getting shut out by the scripter after he'she gets banned.

I can't prove the bot or API isn't detectable.

 

However I can pretty much guarantee that if they are/were capable of  client-detection, they aren't using it aggressively against us (or else all of my accounts would pretty much get insta-banned), but rather as a tool to confirm whether a profile that was flagged for another reason is actually botting or not. Security can and should always be improved, but the client seems safe (to me at least).

 

API & script detection is another story though. I can't and won't defend all scripts simply because some of them aren't as great as others.
