July 22, 201411 yr The mods are on it, yes, and whenever there is a dispute they quickly find out more info, and gather evidence. All goes well. But the 3 disputes that are currently open haven't had an update in a while!!! The users that have been scammed or are waiting for a service to be completed are very stressed right now, and the admins aren't pressuring the person doing the service enough. When I paid @Acerd I had no access to RS for 24hrs (I know, the horror -.-) and I kept worrying something could go wrong. It's stressful and the mods need to get them solved much quicker. It's not a good place to be in if you've just been scammed and I don't think the mods are currently doing enough to solve these cases. Don't get me wrong, it's tough to do, but it really has to be done.. the longer someone innocent has a TWC is the more likely they are to scam anyway.. I just feel sorry for the users who have had to wait weeks to hear they can't get a refund. It's horrible...
July 22, 201411 yr Idk about everyone else but when James and I had a dispute we and the mods were able to handle it pretty fairly and in a generally decent timeframe considering the amount that was needed to be refunded to me good guy James being a legit human being
July 22, 201411 yr Where are you getting any of these statistics. 1/3 Disputes was just opend yesterday 1/3 dispute was opened on the 15th which is nearly solved. Just a mere misunderstading 1/3 Is awaiting a user's return from vacation, which is not a mod's fault but everyone agreed to wait. he longer someone innocent has a TWC is the more likely they are to scam anyway.. This doesn't even make sense. I'm pretty sure most of our top trusted have been TWC. Including @Divica for a while. I've even been twc. I think 2 or 3 times. Innocence is innocence. A PiP isn't going to change's someones decision just like that.
July 22, 201411 yr It's a fine line on what is too much and what isn't enough for a moderator to do to best assess and handle situations. I can assume that more than likely they are trying to do their best to not pressure scammers to increase the chance of paying back, no matter the length of time. It's hard to tell with each case if pressure or no pressure will work better for the victim.
July 22, 201411 yr If you bother to look at 2 of the 3 disputes open at the moment you would quickly realise one user is owed a refund in one while in the other h owes the refund, and that thy haven't progressed because he isn't able to access RS. So yeah, the handling of disputes seems to be shambolic. /Sarcasm
July 22, 201411 yr Would you like us to fly to the person's house and force them to refund ASAP? There's only so much we can do from our side...
July 22, 201411 yr Administrator I usually let the moderators handle the disputes unless they ask for help with them, I usually read every dispute when I get a minute and read how the moderators are handling it and every one I've read has been fine. The moderators can't force anything or rush anything. Like @Jordan said we have two approaches to get the user to refund and we have to determine which one we need to use. All we care about in the end is getting the user refunded as soon as possible and a user that scams out of here.
July 22, 201411 yr I think they do a good job , and I added that 24-48 hour timeframe on my ToS as my net sucks HARD and sometimes I have to go to bed.(at night ofcourse)
