When the hooks break and client fails to load why do you just make it open a default topic saying why?

If by hooks you mean whenever Runescape receives an update, then there already is a system for this which is the status indicator in the banner at the top.

Delete your cache/cookies for this website, and it should be there.

I've noticed it hasn't changed, but I agree something like this is required for all them leechers who don't read the forums.
