[safety measure!] rename client into something that doesnt contrain "bot"

Featured Replies

with about 10-20 lines of code jagex can check in whate frame you are playing, so we might wanna change it to runescape/google chrome etc.

if (name.contians("bot"))

instaban.

gf.

Yeah maybe they are going to check our browser history and install some spyware on our pc to see if we bot. Yep!

that would be private information, so they can't. this is very very easily possible

I don't think it really matters what client you are playing on,

I mean I use botting clients even when I play legit, for some reason the game runs faster when I do.

Never been banned.

They can't ban you for using a different client, as it's the actual botting that they ban you for, not the client. Just because you're on a client doesn't mean you are actually botting.

Also, if they could do what you think they can, I think it would be pretty easy for them to differentiate between a browser and a client and the same goes for there client and the one you are using. So regardless of the name it wouldn't make a difference.

If they did do this they would set it so it check every account automatically on log in. So, everyone that has ever used a client, botting or not should theoretically be banned right now. But they aren't.

but they need a automated system, so it would probably be something like i said in op (if name.contain bla bla) which could be avoided by renaming the client. i don't really see why we shouldnt as it only takes about 4 minutes to rename the thing tongue.png

its just a suggestion that is very little effort, easy to add and would make me feel alot safer

im sorry to hear that you dont feel safe using this bot,

however, you use bots at your own risk, and there is ALWAYS a chance of getting banned.

the point is. that most people in this community trust the bot and the developers and we won't change the name because 2-3people dont feel safe with the name, because you can get banned anyway, anyday.

i hope i cleared things up.

Basically, all this bull shit "anti-ban" measures that people take I think are a useless. If Jagex really wanted to ban you, they could easily. It's not hard to see which accounts are botting and which aren't. Whenever I used a script and it had the option to use anti-ban I never used it. Till this day for the past 2 years I've never been banned. I might just be lucky but I've never done anything to avoid getting banned.

well the fact bots wait for trees as an example is an easy sign of botting if you wernt botting you would be running around looking for trees

They can't check what JFrame title your using we ain't changing anything within the RuneScape client.

acualy they can. i've be botting on my private bot for the past 2 weeks on my 2nd acc, about 10 hours a day of essence

no ban, i called it "runescape" this might be a coinsidence but with al these bans getting handed out i dont think so.

isnt this bot supposed to be injection?

^ i for one have botted on osbot for 10+ hrs/day for the last 14days and haven't been banned. There are reasons people have been banned and it is not the name of the client.

They have no way of finding things outside of their client.

this isnt outside thier client, you can check the name of the client you are playing in. idk t might be a coinsidence but i know this is possible. i read the code how they could do it on PB some time again, honestly, that was a guy who knew what he was talking about, since im still a noob at java/programming in general i might just have to find the code on that thread, but that's gnna be a beech.

No. Change it to something containing another companies trademarked name and we get sued, bottom line.
