Regarding Phishing Posts

Featured Replies

If you see a phishing link posted, please do not quote it. Report it and move on.

By quoting it, you're making the mod's job 100x harder.

In the AdminCP, we have a 2 step option to fully delete all posts from a user, resulting in it being easier to completely wipe out the posts from the user. When you quote them, we have to go through & find every single post they made, just to be sure no one quoted it.

Thank you,

OSBot Staff Team

I forgot you could report comments, sorry about that. Will do next time :)

Banning them & removing posts will not stop them from doing this... this just makes them try harder.

Why does even anyone still tries phishing bots in sites like this ? Perhaps in some cheap runescape forum it might work, but no here, where everyone is being safe and knowing the shit they're doing.

Sadly, you'd be surprised.

Most people may know how to stay safe, but there are the select few that fall for it, and then the blame gets put onto the botting client.

We're trying to find ways to eliminate the possibility of this happening, but we haven't found an effective way that wouldn't negatively effect legit users.
