Let people have it. Removing it would be like limiting what a person can say on the forums.

Just so long as it's not spamming the forums or messing up the layout, it doesn't bother me so much.

Well yeah, but the title conveys the same thing regardless of the characters, they're just unneeded.

I guess. I don't mind either way, but I just think people should be able to use it so long as they don't abuse it to the point where it messed up the forum layout, but it shouldn't be able to do that since there's a character limit in thread titles.

Support, it doesn't look very good and theres no need for all those excess characters just to attract attention.

Can we ban hyphens and maybe periods too?

Hyphens and periods are part of the core for most languages. mellow.png

Ban the letter x. It's so damn useless in English.

I don't think we need the letter z either, it's too sloppy looking!

Edit: Come to thing of it spaces aren't really needed, we can just use camel case. sellingBonds!

Weren't you the person who wanted to disallowed the words trust, safe etc. from advertising? Or is that a whole other thing :').

In recent suggestions it seems as though people have just run out of things to change and are finding whatever they think they can pass off as a legitimate suggestion.

For the reason that it's becoming very restricted now if all these pointless suggestions were to be passed, I am going to disagree

Personally, I like them. Service provider that lack creativity will leave their threat title look un-professional and quite bland and an eye-sore to look at. I understand how my argument is arguable but it all depends on the ammount of information the service provider can supply in the title, or we'd see 'Defender Service - {Username heere}' instead of what we have now.

Those designs are totally different from specific words designed to luring unknowing customers.

I believe they're appealing to the psychological effects of marketing. The effect of having those random characters in their thread titles is that it attracts the user to their thread as it stands out. Personally, they're unnecessary and could be removed. I'm not necessarily for or against them.
