I have always been against it, I am a Christian and we do not believe in doing drugs, or any of the sort.  I have nothing against anyone that does it, but I don't like to be around it, nor will I ever. I work in a place where you aren't allowed to use it outside of work, and we drug test everyone randomly.

After watching this, I don't see how the government wouldn't legalize marijuana to save tax payers money and lower the killing rates due to the drug wars.

Maldesto, for arguments sake purely, How does being a Christian make you automatically against the use of Marijuana?

I know many christians who use it, and throughout the bible many people have argued that the plant mentioned so commonly in the Bible, is indeed Marijuana. As it says in the bible -

Genesis 1:29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food."

 

Marijuana is a natural herb that grows on this earth. It is not made. People do mass manufacture it, but it is not made.

Regardless of it being illegal in most places around the world, Each individual has there own interpretation of what's right and what's wrong.

 

A Muslim wouldn't touch alcohol because it's against his moral code, Yet some people base there life around the bottle, The same would go for weed and other hard drugs. If smoking a joint calms you down and drinking helps you enjoy yourself, then naturally you'll take part in such activities.

 

In the grand scheme of things, It's each persons responsibility to determine what is or, what isn't good for them.

Go on netflix and watch the movie "The Union, The business behinde getting high" Best documentary ever. As Joe Rogan would say "Oh people will abuse marijuana if it's legal" Well shit, people abuse cheeseburgers you don't see those being illegal. Case closed. Weed lets you take your mind off things lets you calm down enjoy life. Fun with friends NATURAL MEDICINE so many more things. The test they did to prove marijuana killed brain cells was 100% false. In the late 50's or early 60's can't remember they but gas mask on monkeys and gave them the THC equivalent to 30 joints at once. Catch 22 is they did this with gas mask. If you have a gas mask you're not getting oxygen to your brain so of course brain cells are dying. HOWEVER if you're smoking from a pipe,bowl, 1 hitter ect.... you're still getting oxygen to your brain from your nose. It may be very little but still enough. Research it studies from various places now show it may stimulate brain cells. Ever workout at a gym? If you're high you can do more. You're mind is off of things and you just keep going. Arnold Schwarzenegger talked about how he use to do it all the time and it really helped him get into the mood to workout. It doesn't make you lazy people choose to be lazy. I do it all the time. Othertimes I want to just go outside and do whatever I can and have a bunch of energy. To sum this all up weed should be legal it will cause less crime, more chill people and all around a much better world. Money increase crime decrease, Sounds good to me!

 

 

 

There's really not a debate here. Marijuana has many health benefits and little negative side effects. 18 states and Washington D.C. have legalized medical marijuana, with many other states pending legislation on the subject. This is because people are realizing how silly current policy is. It's almost certain that within 10-15 years even federal policy will change to reflect the facts of marijuana.

Also I don't mean it says word for word "don't smoke weed" I just mean being raised religious and in a christian school. It has been taught not to do those things. Therefore I won't, as it is ILLEGAL. I also can't do it at my job, because it is ILLEGAL!

It should be legalized imo, the pros outweigh the cons. Legal or not, people are gonna smoke it, and the government could partially pay off their debts from the tax. Why is it not legal..?

We're debating why it's illegal and whether or not it should be. Your argument is, essentially, "it's illegal because it is illegal". Or, if your argument is that it's illegal at least partially because it's against a tenant of your religion, well that's unfortunate because there is supposed to be a separation of church and state.

Yours for food.

As in medicine for our bodies.

As in ailments for our illness.

 

And Marijuana is made into food all the time, in case you didn't know.

 

Besides marijuana, there are many drugs made from plants that are helpful to us as a society..

 

Its also not "ILLEGAL" everywhere. Its decriminalized and legal in very many countries, As well as partially legal for medical use in many states around the U.S

I live in the Netherlands, and to be honest there is never any problems with Marihuana so far, the usage is infact kind of low, and only a certain group of people use it. The only reason people are "afraid" of it, is because it can be gateway drug to hard drugs, this is different per person. 

 

I do agree that other countries (for example US), should legalize it too, as you mentioned, usage will still remain wether it's legal or not (maybe even more usage when it is illegal), the government might aswell take advantage of it, and when it turns legal, they will be able to control it better aswell.

Marijuana should be legal everywhere. It's a cure, and hardly does any damage to the body, apart from paranoia. I personally smoke weed so much that it has no effect on me anymore.
