Timekeeper Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Just curious what the developers, admins, and owners think of the future of RS botting. Revenue streams, profits for the botters, etc etc? Do you think this is an ever eroding island and one day there will be no place for botters to turn a profit? 1
IDontEB Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 If OSRS Mobile doesnt increase the OSRS player base then the game will either: A) die out sooner than later. B) get MTX introduced to the game since OSRS Mobile didnt increase revenue like the higher ups expected C) die out because the funding from higher ups gets cut in half after no results from mobile. 2
Swizzbeat Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Obviously the game will eventually reach the end of it's lifespan but I don't see that happening for another 5+ years. Anything after that is speculation though.
PipeUpBoy Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Runescape need gold sinks in osrs otherwise no1 will need to buy gp anymore 2
gearing Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 the owners need to advertise in 3rd world countries in conjunction with the introduction of the mobile version if this game is going to always aim at players who played it when they were teenagers it is bound to die tl;dr: we need brand new players in order to survive 1

It will be hard to attract new players without pissing them off. 1
purplewatilla Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 I have no idea why people like this in the first place, so I guess I can't really comment any deep insight here. PKing was the only thing I enjoyed a bit of, and I just went to a RSPS, because it was instant PKing, rather than wasting my life away grinding, for no reason...
