Making banned patterns database?

Featured Replies

Have idea about making community-driven bannable pattern list.

Filling them by scripters when they unban their scripts describing what was causing bans.

Information should be added with description of what pattern was causing bans from opinion of scripter (Like: bot was always using Bank booth to open bank and never use Banker NPC and it got accounts banned in a week).

(!) Should'nt post solution (how did you work around the problem) so everybody does it his own way. But information about patterns those are already in Jagex filters is safe to post.

Yeah, there's competition between scripters and maybe they will not post script-specific bannable patterns (especially if they have competitor script that is banned atm). But general actions patterns (those are most ones causing bans i think) are safe to post if it will be accessible only by limited group of people writing scripts and fighting bans for long time.

Also OSBot Team could post bannable patterns they found to protect scripters from making mistakes and improve quality of service for OSBot users.

Interesting what does scripting community think about this?

why would i share my patterns so other people can work around it and be successful ? make your own database.

more successfull botters = gp value decreases = no thank you

Dunno if this would give any noticable value. If bans are a lil higher when banking than without banking, does that mean that banking leads to bans? Probably not. I once started collecting detailed data of my scripts and check the ban patterns - basically no use. Cause I usually get banned in bulk depending on Jagex mood.

I honestly wouldnt complain about another bot nuke

Heres my input,

If you bot, you = banned.

I tried "ban testing" for 2 weeks and it's no use, You could hire the greatest programmer in the world to work for you and your script will be banned, so my final opinion, if you aren't suicide botting if you're "farming" then you're doing it wrong because you will be banned theres no escape.

Did leveling up your cmb lvls make any difference? Was reading your thread, and it mentioned getting 20 cmb lvl

I can do this, just a bit differently than the way you described. Would take a long time to complete and cooperation of scripters, nevertheless a script to evaluate each bot script would would need to be created. Would be a nice project to show off, but I don't think it would be something that should be made public to the community.

Only problem with something like this though, is there are other reasons why an account may be banned. Gathering other data like number of time leveled up, number of hours played in a day, and etc would be needed to get rid of outlier data since we are trying to find how overall interactions affects a players ban rate. Something like this would have the potential of showing what iteractions cause the most bans, and a real time analysis of scripts of their banning potential

what makes you think they're banning based on repeated actions? its possible to get banned on tut within 6 minutes never repeating the same action.
