Whatsup with the whole kati thing, i heard alot of people were put at risk over it?

Ive been trying to find out myself, but i just want a simple answer. Is this site safe and secure now?

Just wanna know exactly what happened, unless its like forbidden to talk about it

Im not looking gor a war, and im not looking for opinions either. Im not trying to find out if what they did was right or wrong, i just want facts. I just wanna know what happened

I feel like it should be public information, if everyone was put at risk. Yeah it's solved now, and people have their opinions about whatever went down... But we should at least have the right to know how everyone was put at risk -__-

Totally agree, but Laz or Maxi doesn't want it that way. Seems like a dictatorship to me :P I would love to get the full store and not some bullshit "Not going to disclose" escpically if it put our freacking personal information at risk we should know. Of course this thread is going to be closed by Smart/Any other global mod/super and not an admin actually replying.. But it would be nice to know what information was disclosed and why.

Thats true, if there was any amount of respect for the community we'd be given the true story behind what happened, in a locked thread or something. I get where they're coming from though.. People will get too crazy and are too quick to judge what happened.

Yes, this site is very secure now. Our new admin does not contain the database and we also transferred to Black Lotus. Ddos attacks will not affect us.

The database was released by a former Admin who was blackmailed. This database included passwords and usernames to OSBot.

We urged everyone to change their pass because some of our users had the same password and username to their RuneScape accounts as well.

I'll have to correct Ely right there before this rumour spreads stronger. Kati, like said by Ely, gave a copy of the OSBot database which contains only information about your forum account to someone who wanted to have it. Whatever was exchanged for this and why exactly this was done will remain a mystery as we don't know who is telling the truth. All that matters now that we require everyone to refresh their passwords on the forums and make sure their emails/rs accs/etc are secure meaning not use the same password and email etc. Kati was demoted and taken away all access and power given to her.
