Well, he's not wrong. If you believe that your time is somehow worth more than mine; you really don't deserve to spend time with me. And Yes, that was the idea; people that are in a dispute that normally would've gotten TWC would now get DNT, and the entire payment plan is also something we already pretty much do.

And I wish this were true, but TWC already has a market restriction in all sections except gold and we're still seeing scams :P Scams still happen when people don't post on market topics, they'll just conversate the trade over something like skype. As it stands, they can (I believe) still use PM and whatnot, so that's something I'd be willing to look at removing with the DNT rank. I've forwarded the idea of DNT with full restrictions (i.e. no pms, no chatbox and no forum permissions outside of the dispute section) and it seems to be received well, so it's certainly not the end of it!

I might've been unclear in my wording. I didn't mean that a TWC rank would be a scam victim. I was implying that someone that is a victim of a scam done by TWC (thus, the person holding the TWC is the scammer) would get scammed just the same by someone holding the DNT rank.

In that case I'll restate; It's been mentioned multiple times that Trade with Caution is already in place ;) I'm not trying to call you out, just trying to figure out wether or not you're actually spouting shit on a thread that holds a generally important discussion, or if you're just a little confused with the ranks that are already there and what this suggestion would change/do. Knowing this, I'd guess the latter. No worries.

Could be that a firewall or something similar is blocking the outgoing/incoming connection to OSBot. I remember that the office network of a place I used to live blocked certain ports, which resulted in the same error. p.s. moved this to general help, because I highly doubt this is a client bug :P

And I completely understand, but the people getting scammed by a person that is currently in a dispute and holding the TWC rank would've gotten scammed by the DNT rank simply because they fail to look up the person they're trading - if they had surely the ongoing dispute in combination with the TWC would've told them to back out of the trade. Again - I'm not against the idea, I'm just saying that it won't reduce the scams by people in a dispute which would mean a total throwaway of time spent into creating that rank, pip and any possible work a rank like this would bring Did you read the post?

You can try routing your connection through VPN's and/or proxies, because you have the chance of dodging "broken" infratructure on the way. However, if it's jagex' servers that are simply on fire (thus the end goal being unreachable) a VPN/proxy isn't really going to help very much. I do believe osbuddy has either released or was working on something that could aid in the disconnects, but don't qoute me on that :P

1. That isn't so much of an issue. TWC sends the same message as DNT on scythe. TWC already has the restrictions you mentioned in place, where they're only allowed to the gold buying section in order to get around to a refund should they need rsgp for it. That being said, we can always look at expanding the restrictions, but we'd soon have to look at creating separate ranks for people under dispute and people that have refunded after scamming (because these people tend to come back with TWC) With that being said, implementing the DNT rank wouldn't have mattered. Because, at the time of the fist dispute, the trade that resulted in the second was probably already taking place, and it it wasn't then the 2nd user probably should've taken a closer look at the person he was trading. (Which sadly, barely ever happens. People tend to just trade with people on the Skype that is 'probably' the guy they spoke to in chatbox/on forums.) Which is in no way judgemental towards the person getting scammed, but there's only so much we can do to prevent them. Besides, banning people straight away is going to cause hysteria when the dispute turn out to be in the disputee's favor, it will limit communication resulting in longer waiting times for people that are legitimately willing to refund (because they have no way of communicating with us, and sometimes not with the victim either) I would honestly just like to emphasize that caution part in "Trade with Caution". If people took the time to read up on the person they're trading, the number of disputes would literally be cut in half. Which again, is not victim-blaming, but just something I've noticed. I'm obviously open to discussion because my entire end-goal of this forum is to help people and that includes preventing people from getting scammed. But, there's only so much we can do ;)

You the exact same thing mirror-mode does? Really, no, Mirrormode still gets you banned, RID still gets you banned, just like any other client will eventually get you banned ;) I don't believe they 'miss' any, they just pick a couple from a pile of known bots and ban enough so they still make enough member $ while keeping legits happy that they're still banning shit. There really isn't any reason for them to not know everyone that is botting. It's the same as the bug-abuse community, they usually try to stay connected to them and allow for a few minor things to happen, because it allows to keep an eye on major bugs. The entire reflection vs. injection debate has been discussed so many times it's honestly not even funny anymore. Mirrormode doesn't use any injection at all, but you're still going to get banned. The system requires as little human input as possible, because it would be an extreme waste of money to have it done manually.

You can always just take the card out and plug your screen into your motherboard at the back of the case, that'll ensure everything runs on CPU graphics :P

Go to the store with a decent return policy for a new PSU, put in into your system and see if it still occurs, if it doesn't; it was your PSU and you've already bought the fix. If it was, return PSU and get another GPU. I had a similar issue, where the screen would either 1) Freeze 2) go a certain color and freeze (e.g. yellow or blue or green screen) 3) go black That was because my PSU couldn't deliver enough power to the GPU. (Tested it by borrowing the exact same card from a friend -> still occurs, got a better PSU and it stopped occurring on either of the cards.)
