You silly americans and your nearly nonexistent history education think that you are able to judge the game genderfield5 is a realistic ww2 shooter.- What exactly is the "Trade with caution" rank supposed to achieve when its handed out so inconsistently?
Making this topic because I see @Decode back with ex-staff rank, after being responsible for people getting scammed and at the same time there is @TWC with 1000 positive feedback and a topic full of vouches for doing large trades with other (some more some less) reputable users, but he is in TWC and seems to be using the rank as an advertisement. How is that consistent? I dont argue that decode should be in TWC but how is it consistent that he isnt while one of the people with the most feedback is in TWC? What makes TWC even more useless as a rank is that it seems like people only ever get placed into the rank when tey are getting disputed or talk shit to a staff member in chatbox, but people who singed up 5 minutes ago can post multiple topics about offering services and buying/selling gold. There are so many scams where people chose to get their firecape done by someone with 3 posts and a 1 week old account because he offered the lowest price and I feel like half of those could be prevented if TWC wouldnt be given so randomly. IMO it would be the best to just place anyone who opens a service/wants to sell an account or wantss to sell gold into TWC until he gets like 10 feedback. and replace the "trade with caution" rank that you give people getting disputed with a "do not trade" rank.- Lost my main, Now i'm back. i think . https://runelite.net/blog/show/2018-05-15-RuneLite-threatened-to-shutdown time for osbot plugins. the market wants competition for osbuddy- More Lenient with Botting?
even with that 10million difference osrs wouldnt be irrelevant (40m revenue from rs3 vs 30m revenue from osrs) But those numbers are also revenue not profits so i dont think its unreasonable to assume that osrs is just as profitable as rs3 due to have a lot less staff, especially since most the numbers are just guesses- More Lenient with Botting?
no? im saying that your statement that osrs makes them nowhere near as much money as rs3 is wrong even if we ignore that running rs3 costs a lot more due to more staff, you can just look at the numbers. osrs is like 60-70% of the playerbase so obviously they bring in a lot more subscription revenue (which is jagex biggest revenue source) and since bonds are micro transactions and we know that bonds are also widely used in osrs means that a noticeable part of that revenue has to come from osrs aswell. rs membership is 11$ a month so whales using microtransactions isnt that huge for jagex as it is for f2p mobile games where 100s of players per whale pay literally nothing at all- appealing a botting ban
yes use google its somewhere in the support page- More Lenient with Botting?
I highly doubt that. Osrs probably makes about the same if not more profit than rs3. osrs players are the majority of the playerbase and bonds count as micro transaction. So every single p2p bot in osrs also counts into their micro transaction revenue. Now keep in mind there are like 10 times as many people working on rs3 compared to osrs.- More Lenient with Botting?
osrs is growing. jagex doesnt need the money from botters. Its just not worth it for them to invest more time into creating more botting detection when farmers just replace those accounts in 5 minutes anyways. Also hard to find anyone willing to even work for jagex for mediocre pay on an outdated game that gives you little to no transferable expierence - is it alright to bot on thursdays? because it update day
