Yes but the difference is the account is always recoverable by you, the GP cannot be recovered so feedback on the buyers end is irrelevant, even if I were to pay with paypal as long as I prove paypal account is mine and prove I have legitemately operated many transaction in the past then the risk is minimal for you. But the fact you only want GP and nothing else seems a bit scetchy to me so i'll pass anyway.

last time I checked you did need an email in 08 / 09 you just didn't need to use one to login. If possible I would need the email address linked to the account back then as I know that for recovery they ask you what the original email was
