  1. Right... But this discussion is for Macbooks with botting not for educational purposesAh yes on my mobile, didn't see that. Yeah you're an idiot if you buy one purely for botting lol
  2. Do you take your PC to university? How portable is your tower, can it fit in your bag? What I'm trying to say is that it depends on what you need it for. I am happy to pay the extra for a Mac to get the beautiful interior and exterior. I only need it for programming and word processing.
  3. No, but Microsoft is.

So you don't enjoy improvements? If something is good, you don't like making it better?

  8. This is how I try to live my life every day - minus the 500 grand ;) (ask yourself if you would be happy with what you've done today if you died tomorrow). it's pretty good life advice, heard it in Steve Job's Stanford graduation speech. Honestly, I'd give it to my family and spend the last day with them.

I think IRC should replace the current chat system we have now. It has all of the features of the current system plus a lot more benefits. It would take about ten minutes to set up a channel and switch systems. You can read about IRC here if you haven't already heard of it. Here is an implementation for IP.B.

Yeah I agree with @Bake me a cake, let's remove Sponsor, VIP and Script Writer because powerbot has them. Good logic guys. Lets implement ideas based on whether or not other communities have them.
  12. Do you often ridicule people who don't understand concepts as well as you do? Is it something you enjoy? If they haven't visited a forum before, they might not know where/how to find something, or not realise that they should search before posting.

It's because the GIF image you uploaded is too large. The server tries to resize it for you to make it smaller, but removes the other frames in the process. Use this to resize your animated GIF to 130 by 130px and then change your avatar to the smaller GIF.

If they are so distracting then disable them. I personally like them. I have. Doesn't change the fact that they still exist and are annoying other people.

Apparently banking is broken in OSBot, so the only thing you can really do is wait for the developers to fix.
  16. Sam replied to Zappa's topic in Archive
Definitely. Signatures should be made much smaller, they're often distracting, invasive and cluttering. Personally I don't think there's any need for them at all, but that's a different argument.
  17. Aw, you've just made me hungry.... I make pasta with a sauce containing a can of tomatoes, bacon, milk and cream, capsicum etc. Tastes amazing.

When I joined in March it was just a development thread and no members. I logged off and didn't come back. It was only a few days ago when someone mentioned it on Skype and I logged back on and found out how active it now is. Good stuff guys.
  19. Personally I'm deciding between a Macbook Air and a Macbook Pro. I think they're both beautiful computers and well worth the extra money. It really depends on what you're going to use it for. Personally I'll just use it for programming and word processing, so I'll probably get the Air. However if you're a RuneScape botter, you will want to go for the one with most guts (obviously).
  20. But ArrayList#add is O(n) worst case (when it has to resize) and LinkedList is constant time for adding. However if you're going to critique his List implementation of choice I think a far better suggestion would be for him to program to the interface not the implementation. @Cory, MethodContext should extend MethodProvider not Script (a MethodContext is not a script) By making the fields public in your MethodContext you have made your API brittle. What if you decide to make MethodContext thread-safe or perform additional checks before returning a field? You can't without breaking people's code. This is why encapsulation is important. I'm not sure why you named your package impl - what is it an implementation of? I would suggest documenting all your classes - I'm not sure what the ObstacleListener's purpose is. Those are my suggestions from a brief look. Hope it helps.
  21. Client#getUsername() So in your class that inherits from MethodProvider/Script, you would use: this.client.getUsername() EDIT: I may have misunderstood, not sure if you mean the login that you choose in the account selector. I'll do a bit of digging for that. EDIT: Okay, so from the looks of it (just an educated guess) in the current bot revision Bot#k holds a LB (GameAccount) instance which contains the users selected account username and password. I don't know whether the SecurityManager blocks reflection, but if not I'll write up a method to get it. EDIT: https://gist.github.com/indistic/c4e38d0c5e65866f8464
  22. Yeah, he's great. I also recommend TED, they have some amazing speakers on there that discuss incredible stuff.
  23. Well it's not meant to be as important. If you are a Script Writer that has written high quality scripts, you will get the 'respect' that you deserve - you should be taken seriously through your reputation as a good programmer, not as someone who has the SW rank.
  24. Sam replied to Superman's topic in Archive
There is already an excessive number of ranks on this site - we don't need to add to them. VIP/Sponsor serves basically the same purpose.
  25. Sam replied to Occazn's topic in Archive
Obviously it was good economically and bad morally. If you think slavery was beneficial and 'worthwhile' overall, then I would consider you to have the same mentality as Hitler - doing terrible things for the 'greater good'.
