Having individual clients means each applet runs in its own JVM (Java Virtual Machine), which of course leads to each bot being allocated more memory. This is doable with tabs, but more unnecessarily complex. Also, I believe there is a still-existing bug where at least some of the resources of a destroyed applet still remain. In simpler terms, this means when you close a tab some of the memory would still remain and produce a memory leak/wasted memory. So - separate clients are a much better option.

Thanks very much guys! I've decided not to script for OSBot for the moment after taking a look at the subpar API (sorry). But I'll probably stay moderately active in the forum anyhow.

I agree with @YoHoJo, it seems unnecessary. The moderator rank(s) are already very noticeable down the bottom of the page with the online users. It just duplicates a feature already on the site and clutters up the forum.
  4. Those who have smoked it will want it legalised, those who haven't will not care. Therefore it often appears that the general opinion of marijuana leans towards the positive side. However even though casual marijuana smokers will claim that it has certain benefits (or that "it's not as bad as alcohol"), I don't think that their arguments stand up to the proven mental health risks that arise. Schizophrenia, paranoia, depression, decrease in memory and learning ability, delusions, depersonalisation, bipolar psychosis - and many more. Therefore I think it's fair enough that it's currently illegal - and based on the facts, I think they should keep it that way.

There's already plenty of this tbh, I was thinking more of Scripter/Official Scripter rather than Trial/Official. I think following StackExchange (StackOverflow) would be a better idea than a Scholar rank: Everyone has a 'reputation' You can increase someone's reputation if they post a good answer (requirement 10 posts to upvote) You can decrease someone's reputation if they post something unhelpful/wrong (requirement 100 posts to downvote) And so on.

It just creates elitism in the community. Take powerbot as an example - over there people often don't take others seriously who don't have the Scholar/Fellow rank when asking/answering questions.

Thanks guys... I guess my next questions are: -Is it worth making scripts for this site? -What scripts are most wanted and not yet made? (preferably complex e.g. quest script)
