AIO Tab Maker
If Laz does not have any time today I'll review the script and fix whatever is going on with it. Can people give me a list of issues? I don't foresee much trouble to fix it, however some knowledge in advance would be useful.

Hacked or a Dirty Script?
I'm getting tired of those questions. All scripts on the SDN are verified by our eyes before we give the green light, this is for every update that it gets including it's initial upload.

Temporarily slow website
And it's back to normal.

Maxi's Soft Clay
I promise to get on this in the coming week. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, lately with the growth of OSBot I haven't been able to give this much attention.

Temporarily slow website
Dear community, The website will be performing a little bit slower in the coming few hours. This is because I'm currently applying a lot of strain on the sql database. I thought I would let you guys know. Sincerely, Maxi

HACKED AGAIN
I could not trace it back to a forum user and it's from a hosting service by this company: http://www.softlayer.com/ If you have a screenshot you could contact them and perhaps they are willing to find you the person who did this.

runescape got hacked!
I've moved this topic, this is not a bug or an error. On topic: You could have been compromised in many ways. It could be that the Advertising other bots isn't allowed. and/or vInsert database gave enough information about you to hack your account (if you used their bot and/or registered on their forums), you could be infected by a virus that logs your keystrokes and/or enables remote access control (then you are infected with a rat) or perhaps you got phished. Download Kaspersky to get a decent anti virus scanner, however remember that freshly written viruses are not in their signature database and therefore no anti virus scanner will always protect you a 100%.

Looking for a Private Osbot scripted, 2.6-3M/hr money making.
Please remember that script sales outside the SDN are prohibited and when caught the script will be blocked from the client and accounts involved will be suspended. Private scripting services can be done thought the SDN though. I'm fairly busy at the moment but I have just the right guy for you that will be able to write this for you to perfection, whatever it is. Drop me a PM and I'll get you in touch with him.

Private Scripting Service
Please get yourself familiar with the rules of OSBot. Private scripting services can be done through the SDN, but will not be condoned outside the SDN as every other kind of script sales are prohibited outside the SDN without written consent of the administration team.

Stepping up
Dear community, Over the past month we have seen a reign of cyber crime across the Runescape botting scene. vInsert was the victim of several Runescape account hacking disputes before its database got compromised in the merger with Aurora. Now Advertising other bots isn't allowed. was defaced as well and its database was compromised as well. This thread is to shed some light on our perspective towards those recent happenings. We have always tried to be in time with warnings to protect you as people, Runescape players and us as a community and succeeded in doing this. But as this wave is continuing we have to give it more attention. In general everything we do is with security in mind, that means our security (both personal and OSBot's) and your security. With the recent happenings we have decided that we will take an entire day to go through each and every security measurement we have and see if there is anything that can be improved without harming any user experience. We feel sad for the victims of those attacks even though they might be competitors in some sort of way, we do not and will never condone DDoS'ing, hacking and any other sort of black hat activity. OSBot itself also has been victim of attacks, may it only be DDoS attacks though. We are increasing measurements taken to automatically mitigate such attacks. If such attacks will continue we will alarm authorities and file a report. We will be collecting network connection logs in case. I'm repeating myself, but we will never condone any cyber crime and black hat activity by ourselves, our community members and others. OSBot is a place where people should feel safe and comfortable. Sincerely, OSBot.org

Attention: All TriBot Users! TriBot has been compromised!
OSBot is running fine for currently: Session Count: 1889 Tab Count: 1929 User Count: 1694 Are you talking about OSBot or Advertising other bots isn't allowed.? As for Advertising other bots isn't allowed., their database is still compromised containing a lot of information that could be used to hack in to your personal service (email, skype etc) and possibly Runescape as well. They do have Advertising other bots isn't allowed.'s database.

Attention: All TriBot Users! TriBot has been compromised!
It is encrypted and only stored locally on OSBot. But the point of this announcement was to let you know that their database most likely got compromised and in there is a lot of information that could lead to hackings of your personal services, not only Runescape. We are talking about their server database, which does contain information about you. You should yes.

Dedicated server maintenance
New update: After contact with our hosting provider it turns out there is a much larger issue at hand at their side. They have a large infrastructure where our traffics gets routed via various ways depending on your location and somewhere along these routes for most locations there is packet loss and therefore the server is seemingly down at time. We have provided them with several routes and they are investigating it as we speak. We will update you soon with more information regarding this issue. One thing we want to make sure is to let you know that it's not an attack of some sorts. For now everything seems to be back up again, but until we get a good answer from the provider it could be that the server will go down once more.

Forum and Client was offline whole day?
It was down for everyone. More information can be found here: http://osbot.org/forum/topic/6289-dedicated-server-maintenance/

Dedicated server maintenance
Dear community, Our host had to do some unexpected maintenance to some of their clusters and unfortunately our server was in one of them. We're sorry for the inconvenience, hopefully this won't happen again any time soon. The host has not replied what the exact reason was, hopefully they will. The bot server is back up now. The downtime was approximately 6 hours. EDIT: Sincerely, OSBot.org

About the statement that 'botting in crowded places is unsafe'
Btw, this system to fool the classpath check was enabled in 1.6.11 to 1.7.1, but we removed it after finding no evidence of them checking on anything that could lead to an instant flag. I have checked a couple of days ago, and it's still not being used for this purpose. The bans are most probably coming from their automated learning bot detection system which they are probably testing after having it populated with data over the past months. Their bans seem to be inaccurate though as there are also many legit players who are receiving a ban. One of the arguments that make me believe this is the cause of the bans is also because they are using very short ban times, possibly to compensate for the possible error in their system.

About the statement that 'botting in crowded places is unsafe'
What you are talking about is what we call the classpath check. The method they have in the client could theoretically check for anything that isn't from Java libraries and methods and or classes on the classpath that aren't theirs. However so far we have not found evidence that they are using it to detect our classes on the classpath or any injections done in the client's classes. If however they ever will start doing this, we do have a system in place that we can enable on the fly to fool their check.

A little behind the scenes at OSBot (June 30'th)
Dear community, As time goes by it has been a while that we have shown you what's going on behind the scenes at OSBot. What is going on besides the updates you see on the forums and the bot client itself. The forums have been growing rapidly over the past few weeks and the community has become more complex to manage. However we hope that our decisions still benefit you all in the long run and to keep as many people as possible satisfied with what have to offer. Last week we switched to our new dedicated server which brought significant improvements on the speed of the website. We upgraded our CloudFlare plan to have faster throughput for CloudFlare, together improving the response time of the website. When switching over, we switched to a different web server again. This left us with some tiny bugs in the url rewriting for friendly urls (furls). This made IP.Content working incorrectly and has forced us to remove the link to the repository and the API temporarily. We have been looking in to this issue and identified the problem, we will be spending time on fixing this up as soon as possible. As mentioned earlier, OSBot is now soon to be an official part of a company set up by us. This will give us a lot of legal protection in the future and will hopefully will make it possible for OSBot to stay for the long run. However, with a company a lot of administrative work comes along. Therefore we saw the necessity to create some administrative tools to make the work with the SDN easier and most importantly automate payments to SDN premium script developers as much as possible. This has been taking up most of my time for the past week and is also the reason I haven't been that reachable on Skype compared to normal. I hope to finish up these tools as soon as possible. As for the bot, we've been doing preparations to load definitions from the cache to provide definitions for entities that have 'nulled' names and nulled definitions. For this we will also have to write a cache downloader that will make sure that the entire cache is available for the client before executing any script or logic. This feature will also lead to the next giant improvement mentioned multiple times: the webwalker. The cache reader and downloader both need some updates and tweaks, but once these are done we can implement the dumping of the encryption keys needed to decrypt the landscape files, which we then can use to populate the data set for the webwalker. We will be spending time on this in the coming week. All these updates are more or less happening without you seeing any results, yet. However, the administrative tools might cost us some time now to develop, it will make our lives and eventually yours as user of OSBot easier. Adding, removing and updating of the SDN will become easier, so expanding the script base will go faster. Processing payouts to developers will become easier as well. And once we have the webwalker ready for use, OSBot will become the place where you want to be as a developer AND as a user. I can't wait for the first farming scripts or the first slayer scripts that make use of the webwalker. Stay tuned for amazing things to happen over the summer! Sincerely, Maxi and the OSBot team.

IMPORTANT: vInsert compromised database
Hello community, I want to get your immediate attention for something very important: Earlier this week vInsert was merged with a new project called Aurora. Apparently, as far as I know, only bad intentions laid within this merger. The vInsert database was compromised meaning that a lot of information of their users is now in evil hands. If you ever used vInsert and their website, make sure you have no passwords on any of the current services you are using (such as OSBot but more importantly your personal services like email, Skype, Runescape, other games, bank etc) that are the same as the ones that can be found in the vInsert database. If you want to see for yourself, go here: http://www.vinsert.org/ Please take this announcement seriously. Sincerely, Maxi

Um yea virus, keep removing my posts
I'm posting to shed some perspective to this some what immature discussion. OSBot itself in no way collects your Runescape accounts. It would be stupid to do considering the fact that we are trying to make OSBot a profitable company. Viruses initially are written to be undetectable, anyone who knows a little about viruses know people who write viruses encrypt their virus with various techniques to bypass security checks by anti virus programs. Eventually when times passes, someone will find the virus and report it to one or several anti virus companies which then reverse engineer it and update their anti virus software to make it detect in the future. Then the whole cat and mouse game starts again. Pointing a finger at OSBot is useless, we have proven to our community that this bot is safe to use. If you are here to make drama, you are kindly requested to remove yourself from out forums. If you don't want to make a drama, please continue to be part of our community. As for your own safety, I suggest you get Kaspersky, in my opinion it is the best anti virus software out there. However that will still never guarantee that it will detect freshly written viruses / crypting techniques. Be careful with what you download for your own and other their safety.
