It's been a crazy ass journey. I had good times,bad times and shit times with runescape. As many of you know I got scammed very badly the past few weeks and now I am at a -$289 paypal balance. Runescape is just too much trouble for me at this point in my life and I can't keep this up. I am a grown ass adult, I am in Law School, I can't be dedicated to this game anymore. It's a complex matter. Yes, Jagex owns runescape and all the items within it but the gold isn't leaving the game it's only changing hands so it's not really stealing. If it were stealing, then all the big gold sellers would be shut down for a fuck ton of theft law suits against them. The bottom line is because the gold remains in the game it is still very much within jagex's possession so it's never considered stolen as it's continuously within jagex's possession and never leaves it. The property rights over runescape are more relevant in terms of bans since because they own the game, they're free to do whatever they want with accounts and vitually anything else in the game, but that's where their power ends and begins. Jagex is not an enforcer/creator of the law, they're just a private entity with dominion over their own game. I vaguely remember string of law suits jagex once filed a few years ago on several large gold farmers, but it's important to remember many of these people were credit card hackers so when the accounts got banned the cards that paid membership were reported stolen and then jagex lost a very unhealthy amount of money that I think almost bankrupted them. Those are definitely cases of theft and Jagex had every right to pursue them. Selling gold for cash doesn't really hurt jagex(case in point look at bonds, which is essentially legit RWT sponsored by jagex themselves). Thanks Maldesto, I just sold 238m, and I am currently at $289 in debt on paypal. if my math is right I will have roughly $261.8, and then I can repeat the process. or I could just pay off the debt instantly and not have to worry anymore but then not be able to buy and sell gold for a while. I think I might do that if I can sell other things and make $200(A friend is willing to sell a new GTA V bundle ps4 for that). I am still curious what n64 games you want to buy and what price we could agree on(like I said I sent you prices but never heard back). I will send you a list of all the n64 games I have. Another reason I want to pay this debt off ASAP is because if it goes on too long and reaches an external collections agency my credit score will get really messed up which we can't have.

No they won almost instantly. It's over I just need to hope someone will get this gold off from me so I can pay the debt off and work towards getting money for a ps4

Thanks and sadly this isn't the first time this happened. I only began selling gold back in October and 3 of the 4 buyers I had scammed. So there's this guy and then two others who worked as a team and nabbed $240(Which I paid off the -$64 left over). What's worse is this guy didn't just scam outright he acted like a friend and even loaned 100m to help me pay off the previous debt. At the core this is just who I am but there's also my professional obligations too, as you know. I don't know why it's so hard for people to be honest =(. I bought 100m 07gp from [member=Jack Show] back when gold was $2 per m before dropping and that was in July, and I never scammed him. It's very sad but it's as my profile says, "It's always darkest before the dawn." Once I sell this 220m,the account and some other things I own I will be able to pay off the debt and get myself a nice ps4 on black friday. Best of all no bad credit to fuck up my finances further and my professional credibility is all the more solidified by my resolve =). Thanks to @Maldesto buying my original runescape account I am offically out of debt. I am never returning to runescape again and that includes the rs market. I am happy to no longer be in debt and to leave runescape behind in the past where it belongs. going to be deleting my sykpe and getting a new one and only adding my few friends back. It's not that gold is leaving the game. It's more that if enough people switch over to dead man mode and sell their 07gp in the wake, then there will be fewer sellers of 07gp, which will in turn lead to a tighter concentration of sellers and relatively the same amount of buyers. This leads to less supply of gold with relatively the same demand which will in turn lead to a price increase. If this goes on long enough and dead man mode grows more then it's possible gold prices may go even higher to somewhere in the past(very unlikely to ever be $3 again but possibly $1.8 after several months). This is all just speculation but fundamentally in economics if demand remains constant or increases and the supply decreases, then it follows prices will increase proportionately to match the disparity.
