perhaps not and I don't care about them. I care about not getting scammed and helping others not getting scammed. It's really not complicated at all it's more complicated for the seller than the buyer. You'd sell the gold the same way you would but instead of being paid over paypal you'd be paid via osbot. You'd sell the osbot vouchers like you would anything else over paypal. While it may not be adopted by everyone some may be fine with it and if they are great they're going to likely avoid a lot of scams.

Because while you can't take back gold stolen you can theoretically take back osbot vouchers stolen via supermod+ powers. If staff are aware someone has scammed and are able to punish the scammer they will do so within their power. I only had acess to the ACP for a short time and I am assuming OSBot vouchers can be edited if so it wouldn't be complex to deduct the scammers vouchers relative to the scam and then return them to the victim. Please re-read my response. I swear it makes a lot of sense it's not at all complex. 1. sell gold for osbot voucher eqaul to dollar amount 2. sell osbot voucher eqaul to dollar amount over paypal 3. if buyer files dispute on paypal to get their moneyback you can request that mods retrieve the vouchers you sold 4. conclusion you can get your osbot vouchers you sold but you can't retrieve gp. Making this a potentially viable method to sell gold safely without risk of scam

Sadly my method to safely sell gold was thwarted Attention fellow gold sellers Thanks to a discovery made by @protowill apparently giftcards.com has a dumb restriction on paypal transactions and I was misinformed by the woman I spoke with. I apologize if anyone has used the method yet. However... The method in concept is not in error https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/template-management/prepaid-gift-cards Apparently Paypal has no real issue with using prepaid gift cards from Visa,Mastercard and American Express(discover discontinued their prepaid gift cards back in march 2015). So in theory if another site similar to giftcards.com was found whereby you could buy a prepaid gift card from these banks and have it deliver through email without the dumb restriction on paypal the method is possible. I am an EXTREMELY busy person and despite spending a good few hours few nights ago I couldn't find a site quite like giftcards.com(with email delivery I mean). So for now I am going to stick to bit coin only (coinbase.com is the biggest site for that I think and they're fairly simple to use). However I am curious if OSBot vouchers might be a viable alternative. If OSBot vouchers could be safely sold for paypal money it seems simple enough. The only issue is determining how this would be done. Would there be some sort of seller protection or would it be classed under virtual goods and thus have no recourse? If it isn't there just might be a chance this could work. Actually I just realized something. Suppose you sold gold for an OSbot voucher(which is nonrefundable). And then you sold that same OSBot voucher for money over paypal. Even if you did get charged back you could still get your OSbot voucher back via the dispute system here. If you had evidence to show the chargeback happened I doubt it'd be hard for a supermod+ to go on the scammers osbot profile and deduct their OSbot vouchers and return them to you. From there you can resell the stolen voucher for the money you had stolen on Paypal and it's like nothing ever went wrong.

Thank you but sadly the method has been thwarted(even if only temporarily but still). Apparently... Giftcards.com imposes a strict restriction on all interactions with paypal. Bummer because as it stands pay pal has no issue with prepaid gift cards from visa,MasterCard etc. In theory this can still work but a new website must be discovered who can delivery the cards pin via email(so far no luck finding one, so for now I am sticking to bit coins only via coinbase.com). -

Below is a list of the competitors Oliver NoahTheWisewolf Nick Arctic Gilgad Jordan Raflesia Master Chief Ely Varc Mikasa Smart Eliot Place your bets on who you think will win the title of Ex-Staff King. What do you think will be the first match ups of combatants and who do you think will win each round? I call @Oliver as my first competitor since we both became trial mods the same day and had something of a friendly rivalry as such... But now the heat is on and the title of Ex-Staff King is on the line and just like in the movie highlander.. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! *lightning strikes tip of my sword*

Did some research found this https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/template-management/prepaid-gift-cards I am going to go ahead and conclude giftcards.com is pretty backwater sadly and for whatever reason they wont allow paypal but as seen in the link above paypal welcomes prepaid giftcards with open arms. Once I find a site that offers prepaid online gift cards and doesn't have an annoying stipulation like the site I found previously then things will work. I apologize for not being 100% certain in this particular site but nonetheless I stand by my fundamental argument that having a customer pay via giving us a prepaid gift card is the ultimate method of selling gold safely and securely and I am not giving up. -

Sorry to hear it's not working. It's strange because my conversation with paypal and the card site led me to believe otherwise. Have you considered calling either company for more information(and being specific of your plan). It's not technically a payment through paypal it's more of a transfer of funds. The fact you got the card on there is a good sign. you could buy gold with it when sending money as a gift still. So the point still stands this method could still work if you try to use the card to restock your gold after getting a card as payment for a previous sale. Nonetheless I do apologize it's not working for you currently -

Do you have a pin for the gift card? From my conversation with paypal it's as simple as putting the pin in as you would a credit card. Id call paypal for more specific instructions but I am sure the rest is pretty self explanatory(go on paypal,go to wallet, click add card put the pin like you would any other card number). -

Perhaps there's a wait but it's not necessarily going to be a long time like 24 hours(I could probably call the gift card company to expedite it). Even if it is a significant wait that's truly not my problem since the buyer chose to buy gold from me not the other way around(when I buy gold I'll let them decide how we do things). I figure if there's a subset of the market willing to buy with btc which is much harder then there's definitely going to be some hybrid of btc/paypal users who are cool with this method too and ill mainly sell to them and get my shit I need. I doubt I will ever compete head on with bigger sellers but that's not my path in life so I don't really care. Bottom-line If enough sellers use this method it'll become more common and make it easier to find customers. That's why I posted this I am trying to purge the gold selling community of this plague known as paypal so that perhaps someday unless paypal gets seller protection for virtual goods I can make this nearly as popular as paypal where at least half of rs07 gold buyers will be willing to use this method willingly/if asked. -

I haven't gotten the opportunity yet because the gold market fucked up few days back and now no one's buying(and if they are they're low balling). That's not true either; speaking to them they said the process can take anywhere from instantly to 24 hours maximum. Also if there are problems with their credit card that's probably a sign there may be fraud afoot in which case you'd probably face larger problems via paypal. Having said that this method still prooves very useful for sellers and much more convenient to buyers as opposed to alternatives like bitcoins(which is a real pain in the ass to deal in if the buyer never has before and then has to wait not 1 but 3 days to verify an account and then still go through the credit card stuff you just mentioned). I stand by my claim regarding this method. -
No I didn't and I called pay pal a while back the id won't work. It might deter them from filing a dispute but if the ip's are different, they'll win. Sickening how idiotic pay pal is. That's what makes this method so ideal. In fact, I had some idiot try bluntly scamming me via team viewer because even he acknowledged he can't scam via my method. The dick thought he was going to lock my screen and force a trade.

OMFG thank you! This really means a lot to me Maldesto =). Also just re-read your bid. You have nothing to worry about me scam quitting(but seeing as you feel so confident in me that you'd offer to reimburse the hypothetical victim I can see how much faith you have in me). On top of my professional obligations as per the bar association now I have an additional reason not to scam. Not only do I not want to screw you the customer over but I wouldn't want to screw over @Maldesto.He was a great leader when I worked under him and I wouldn't want to betray his trust either.
