Ethernet runs on a different network adapter than Wi-Fi. It may be disabled, and you will have to enable it in control panel network adapter settings. For the time issue, try re-syncing your clock with the ntp server. Open cmd prompt and enter w32tm /resync. Let me know if any of my suggestions helped.
