Depending on what you plan to spend on. 6600k means you will need a lga1151 compatible mobo, a cpu cooler and of course ddr4 ram. More expensive compared to 4690k. 4690k is like the old gen. Pretty good too. Performance wise, not too bad compared to the 6600k.
