You're in a shit situation, so let me try and help: Am I supposed to do everything front-end and back-end purely by myself without any support from other developers? You're expected to yes. It's called being a full-stack developer. If you're not a full-stack developer, then let her know immediately and drop the project. Is that normal in such an environment? Yes. It's called being in business; your boss has obligations to meet too. However, in programming--programming especially--deadlines are a flimsy term. You should negotiate them with at least +50% additional time, because it's better to seen to deliver early than late. Should I just work the hours I'm supposed to work? Yes. You're an uni-student; part-time work is okay as long as it's part-time. Focus on your studies, because you're paying a very high fucking premium for it. A few $ or £ here and there will mean jack fucking shit if you fail your studies. If you can, drop the work altogether and focus on your studies. Should I just let go? Yes. You're not a full-stack developer and you're a student. Don't start working for real until you've got a degree behind you. Should I ask for more pay? If so, how much do you reckon? From who...? The part-time job's not going to pay you much more unless you're exemplary to them. The person you're doing the web stuff for should definitely be paying you more, A LOT FUCKING MORE, if you're expected to be a lone full-stack developer erecting an entire e-commerce website. Hello everyone! I decided it was necessary for me to take a significant amount of time off of RS because of several reasons. 1: It has an impact on my grades. 2: It is on the edge of keeping me from getting an athletics scholarship. 3: It is sucking money out of my bank account. 4: I want to appreciate things in life that are actually real. 5: A videogame shouldn't impact what I do in my day. I'm sure everyone understands and has felt these reasons. I'm disappointed in my lack of self control but I don't think it's smart to continue playing until I have things under control. I just wrote up a walker for f2p area's, somewhat limited - basically just walks to any of the banks available to f2p. (unless ive missed any) This is my third~ish script that i've written so i am still new. Constructive criticism is fine. How it works - Just start the script, several boxes will show up, clicking a box will walk to the destination it says. Once arriving at your destination, the box will turn red again, and you will be able to select a new destination. Like i said - new Scripter. Once you click a button, you have to wait until you reach the area, or stop the script. Un-selecting the button, or selecting a new one while you already have a destination will do nothing for you. I think you've probably gone in the wrong direction. IF I were you I'll just focus on a secure wordpress installation with the necessary plugins, themes and I'll work on getting all the stuff needed for such a site and making it easy for them to maintain the products (user guides etc). Secondly you shouldn't be putting more hours than you should, it's not your problem. Thirdly it's very reasonable to make your own ecommerce site but thats if you have platforms to use like wordpress, she is a startup and cannot afford proper development "obviously". Edit: You've probably fucked yourself accepting this kinda job without talking to her properly about existing technology available and existing e-commerce sites that utilize these platforms. RuneScape has multiple entity types NPC's Objects GroundItems Determining which one to use is way simpler than people think. NPC's will have yellow name tags in game Objects will have blue name tags in game GroundItems will have orange name tags in game Now when it comes to declaring variables what should we use? For NPC's we would use the NPC class. Our code should look like this NPC npc = ... For Objects we would use the RS2Object class. Our Code should look like this RS2Object object = ... For GroundItems we would use the GroundItem class. Our code should look like this GroundItem item = ... Why would we shy away from using Entity class to define any entity from the game? Well simply put Entity is just an interface and it might not contain things needed to any specific Entity implementing classes. Like RS2Object will have getType() method but Entity will not. The main place to use Entity class is when we are passing it to a parameter of a method and making your own lets say interacting methods. We would use Entity in our parameter to make it accept any Entity type. public void interactCustom(Entity entity, String action){ if(entity.isVisible()) entity.interact(action); else getCamera().toEntity(entity); } Of course again there will come limitations, which are when you are making a method for getting the type of an Object and logging it. Having our code look like this will not work and give us an error. public void getTypeAndLog(Entity entity){ log("[Debug] objects type: " + entity.getType(); } So passing Entity to our parameter wouldn't give us the method getType() which RS2Object has, so we would need to have RS2Object in our parameter So we would need to have RS2Object in our parameter. And our code will work if he have it look like this public void getTypeAndLog(RS2Object object){ log("[Debug] objects type: " + object.getType(); } I hope this guide helped you understand the types of Entities and how to use them correctly
