  2. Official Script Writer I do not support this because it would not make sense to limit it to only 5 users. Also, some users who do not contribute through scripts, members like@Brainfree, deserve official script writer rank. This will only cause those 5 to monopolize scripts which is highly unfair to the rest of the community. Also, people vote based on what they use over what is good. SDN Scripts This is not a job, so it would make no sense for people to submit a programming resume. I do like the idea that it can't be simple and the example you gave, but I think 24 hour is fine because 72 hours is way too long and many things can go wrong like Jagex update or client issues (randoms, etc). I don't think videos are needed as long as instruction come with it. Scripters are not here to baby sit all their users. People should be allowed to upload a script even if it is already up in SDN; monopoly is not good. This is not a first come, first serve community. Paid SDN Scripts That rule about only official scripters can sell scripts was a rule created by Kati and since her demotion, it has been an empty rule. Any script should be allowed to be sold as long as it works imo. It wouldn't be fair to limit what others would pay for. No script should have its own section imo. Local Scripts That would be way too much work for the moderators especially ones that are inexperienced with code reviews, which is why the SDN was implemented (at least partially). That is too much of a restriction on local scripts. The way I see it is that local scripts are a place to learn, without them, I would of never written any of my scripts. I don't mind if official scripts help with the clean up, not sure many would want to do that. This is what I personally think, feel free to disagree.
  3. Hello everybody! Recently there have been some changes to how ranks work around here, and some discussion with what belongs on the SDN, so here are my recommendations of how it all should work: Official Script Writer: - There will be an official monthly poll in the contest section where 5 official script writers can be voted in. - Only 5 users can have the rank at any given time. If you're not voted in again, you lose your rank. - To apply to the contest, you will be judged by your name and your best script. For example, I could be judged for SuperScript Factory, or @XavierM could be judged for ATMercher. - You need to be an official script writer to submit a paid script. If you lose your rank, your paid scripts will remain on the SDN, but you won't be able to submit any more. SDN Scripts: - To submit a script to the SDN, you must submit a programming resume as if it were a job. You need to show that you are an experienced programmer, and not just a beginner. - The script must not only do one small task, it must do a large task, or various small tasks. This means that you can not submit an Edgeville yew chopper, but you will be able to submit an AIO Woodcutter. - The script must be shown to run for over 72 hours straight. The SDN is for the best, and only the best. - All SDN scripts must have a video demonstrating how the script works, along with a minimum of 5 screenshots. - You must prove that there is a demand for the script if it's not already obvious. If there is already an AIO woodcutter that functions correctly, there is no need for your script. Please take a few minutes to innovate, OSBot really needs this. Paid SDN Scripts: - These scripts must follow all of the rules stated in the SDN Scripts section. - As stated in the Official Script Writer section, you must be an Official Script Writer to submit any paid scripts. - Paid scripts must be truly exceptional, please do not submit an AIO Tanner for $7.99/month. - Paid scripts must have some sort of intelligent anti ban system. - All paid scripts will get their own section, along with a support subsection, similar to SuperScript Factory's section. This will reduce frustration among paying script users. Local Scripts: - Local scripts are an important part of our community, so please don't spam our sections. - All local scripts should be screened by moderators before the topic is posted. This will stop useless scripts from being posted. - All local script writers must prove that their script has ran for a minimum of 24 hours straight. - All local scripts must have a video demonstrating how their script works, along with a minimum of 3 screenshots. - Official Script Writers should have the ability to remove broken scripts from the local scripts section as if they were moderators. Too often users are confused when their under updated scripts stop working. Please share your opinion on what you think of my recommendations, I truly hope for an increase of quality scripts on OSBot.
  4. Dash.. if you want more cash just make BETTER scripts than the ones that are purchasable already.. IE.. make a BETTER payed AIO woodcutter or something. lol

  9. Are you sure it didnt hide the paint? 100% positive. It happend to me 8 times already. Plus the world hopping is awful, never stops. What happens with world hoping? Just won't stop switching worlds. This script needs a fix dude. kk just looked into it and am about to push an update to hopefully fix the world hoping along with some of these other bugs.

    You actually look good.
  11. I agree that the quality of SDN scripts need to be enforced. I believe having only 5 officials scriptwriters would be a bad idea as it just creates a gap. The beauty of the Osbot community is that ANYONE can pick up scripting and create scripts and work themselves into a prime scriptwriter eventually. Adding a limit to who can become an SDN Scriptwriter can have negative effects and turns the community into one big popularity contest which I feel is bad as a whole. To better understand my points we need to look to the science of PSYCHOLOGY: It is widely know that convenience polls usually contain some sort of bias between choices. Which makes it a bad idea when deciding on sensitive issues Let us assume that Dashboards suggestion was put into effect (Maximum limit of 5 Official scriptwriters, decided by vote) using the example below: One day a new scriptwriter painstakingly plans, develops and tests a script all while having great feedback on a popular thread. So because of this success he decides that entering himself for a chance to become an official scriptwriter is a good idea. When the votes roll in he notices that he did not win, but also had a feeling that because he is not well known, he will never become official scriptwriter and leaves the community for good. The example above demonstrates how using a poll as a deciding factor can discourage growth. My suggestions for title requirements would be: Scriptwriter: - Must have 2-3 scripts in local section with good feedback - Scripts mentioned above must be proven to work - Must not have any previous record of Scamming - Must provide Virus Data for ANY AND ALL updates Official Scriptwriter: - Maintains outstanding quality - Maintains out standing support - Must have been a scriptwriter for at least a set period of time My suggestions for script requirements would be: Local Scripts: -Free of requirements Free SDN: -Must have good history, approval vouch,ETC. Paid SDN: Must be the best of the best or unique in its field/skill. The script must have features that set itself apart for other scripts beyond reasonable doubt. It makes ZERO sense that some scripts on the SDN do not even function correctly (Tutorial Island). Or scripts that some scripts have Local counterparts thus making it pointless to add a script of the same type to SDN and yet the creators have the nerve to add a subscription charge to it. Before i get flamed please answers this questions for me? Why would i ever pay a ridiculous amount $7.99 + AN ADDITIONAL $7.99 A MONTH FOR --> http://osbot.org/forum/store/product/89-celestialtanner/ <--(A simple tanner with no stand out features that justify a monthly fee). Free tanners exist with the same features (http://osbot.org/forum/store/product/130-dncollections/) and the Paid SDN section is CLUTTERED with scripts that do not belong in that section. If a scriptwriter wants to add a script to the SDN it should be Allowed only if certain prerequisites are met: Must set itself apart from other scripts that do the same job as it The requester must not have been punished WITH PROOF for Scamming or foul play previously If the scriptwriter has never had a script on the SDN they must provide some type of proof that the scripts they make are of OUTSTANDING quality. (A previous local script, A thread showing with popular vote decision, Scripting resume,ETC) Must agree that script contains no malicious coding If a scriptwriter want to add monthly fees it should be allowed ONLY if certain prerequisites are met: Must set itself apart from other script that do the same job as it Quality Must go ABOVE AND BEYOND the average script on the site Features Must go ABOVE AND BEYOND the average scripts on the site Script support or updates must go ABOVE AND BEYOND the average script on the site The requester must not have been punished WITH PROOF for Scamming or foul play previously Must agree that script contains no malicious coding Note: I did not check grammar or spelling completely
  12. There should be changes but there's a lot of nonsense in your "ideas"
  13. 1. The story is meant to terrify the reader, either in horror or disgust. 2. Poe gives very vivid details of the murder, and allows the reader to be immersed in a lunatics world. By telling the story from a first person view, it allows the reader to be more involved in the story, and makes it easier to visualize the grotesque nature of the story. 3.The first sentence gives the reader a sense of the nature of the murderer, a crazed lunatic. It is meant to make the narrator appear edgy throughout the story, and increases the effect that the description of the murder has on the reader later in the story. 4. The main character is clearly not in his right mind from the very beginning. The story is based around his madness, how it leads him to murder an innocent man, to how it leads to his demise. 5. Yes, the reader is satisfied at the end of the story because they feel a sense of karmic righteousness as the murderer is punished for his crime, as if the victim got revenge after his passing.

  23. Bro, do you even lift man?
  24. What's wrong with this? If it's not a top notch script, it should be free for the benefit of the community. It's not anyone's but the script writer's decision whether they want their script free or paid. So your saying that it's your right to sell whatever you'd like at whatever price at WalMart? Why are you comparing two entirely different situations? 1. How's it my right to sell whatever I like at whatever price at Walmart? Excuse me? I'm selling my scripts on OSBot, not fucking walmart. 2. Walmart prices are decided by a group of people who think what's best for the company. e.g. a script that greatly affects the RS economy which is accessible by everyone will lead to the downfall of the economy, that is why you limit the script's accessibly (making it paid) therefore stabilizing the economy (or decreasing its pace). 3. I'm Australian, pick something else other than walmart ffs.
  25. I honestly just thinking this is getting to the point of jealousy where you're saying if this guy's releasing this script for $8.00 on the SDN and it's the easiest thing to code, and my super script factory can do the same thing, why can he just get free $8 from all these people and they aren't buying my scripts, grr grr grr.. lol. Or some edgeville yew cutter for like $2, and you're like, well i could release that on my super script factory, or i could make one, or i could this, why can they get payed for that, I honestly just think it's about jealousy.. but anyway.. carry on.
  26. Would do but I'm only 43 atm And I think you'll probably get one before I get 48 but I'm still training atm.
  27. I do apologise on the payment setup I'm still trying my hardest to solve bugs but if you have me on skype we can fix the problems instantly. Ok I manually accept the trials so it may take a while normally within an hour you'll receive an email with instructions.
  28. Bought the 3gb vps plan. atm only running 1 bot. The payment took quite a while to get processed and the default instructions were not 100% accurate BUT the assistance from khanz ro solve those issues is pretty fast so far.

  31. I believe the caution usergroup has been deleted/removed. This has been discussed before. The most likely think to happen is the following: After the user receives the rank/userbar, he/she will most likely just make a new account. (Since it hinders sales/profit) A hidden rank visible only to staff members is another option.

Thanks to since she gave me the idea by posting one she made Creative Writing is one of my subjects (more of a bonus subject) and we were work-shopping the work of others, proof reading and providing feedback on what we liked/disliked about their writing. I got bored and I wrote this in around 40-70 seconds. I am tall. I am eerie. I am dead. All know to fear me. I lurk in the shadows Unforgiving. I am hallowed. Accompanied by darkness, sadness and sorrow If I see you you won’t see tomorrow From birth I am present. Not evil. But unpleasant. I tick like a clock. My time you cannot buy. You are forever in my debt. Have a guess. what am I…
