In other words a script that makes scripts?

No not at all, you missed the point.

The point is that the bot will act on it's own and perform random tasks. (of what's available)

This would result in a real player-like bot.

if you'd let the bot run for a few days you would have skills trained, combat, items collected...

Just like you would when playing yourself as a real player.

oh i see , very nice.

good luck , i'd like to see the result.

Working on some systems to give the user some more control over the bot.

However the goal is AI, it would be annoying if you couldn't give your own input as a user when you want to.

Ohhh this looks new and interesting.

Have you thought about making this a community based project where we can all support it?

This looks like an interesting and big project, so good luck! Let's hope this doesn't turn into a Monopoly of OSBot scripts. tongue.png

I don't care how hard this gets for you, do not stop making this. This is a great idea.

Although this is more of a pseudo-random "AI" (due to various factors being decided randomly), it's still a very interesting, and innovative idea.

It would be very cool to see this come to fruition. Good luck, and don't quit!

Thanks for the support, motivates me smile.png

Tl;dr

I'm currently working on a fully user controlled tasker with the same task design as the AI as it makes developing a lot easier.

Once finished it should be easy to implement it into the AI.

Might post a thread for the tasker tonight together with a prototype release.

Full in spoiler:

However you wont find any updates on this thread for a bit for these reasons:

First of all it's fairly complicated to design, coming from the autonomous viewpoint. It's doable but I found a better approach now (describing at the end of my post)

Secondly it's annoying to fix bugs on tasks, where you're restarting the bot over and over again.

Because the idea behind AI is not being fully user controlled which means I have to take care of the AI processes first before being able to test. (Might sound like Chinese if you don't know the code)

So currently I'm developing a "tasker" with the same Task design that will fit into the AI. However my tasker is a fully user controlled version

which makes it easy for me to develop everything. In the end when the tasker is finished it should be fairly easy to implement it into my AI.

I've thought it all through and I'm confident on finishing the AI, only taking a different approach to it which means there will not be any updates on this thread until the Tasker is finished. I plan on a prototype release of the tasker soon; in hopes that some people can report me some bugs.

Might post a thread tonight on the Tasker.

@Final Calibur

I've already thought out patterns in how to make it less random (Like choosing the next task based on the current location or/and skill levels) It's a learning curve, so sure in the beginning it won't be that good.

Well that is certainly better, getting closer to an actual AI. wink.png

Keep us updated with development progress & where you are in terms of code, if nothing else.

I'd love to continue to follow this project, I don't think I've seen anyone attempt something like this.
