Taxonomy Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 does osbot work on linux vpses? what about mirror mode? 1
Mysteryy Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Yes install java and download the osb jar. You will need to make the jar executable before it will run.
Chris Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 No it does not work on Debian 7 64bit. linux environment.
Ericthecmh Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Supposedly mirror mode now works in Linux, with Oracle Java 8. I haven't tried though so I can't confirm.
Developer MGI Posted July 6, 2015 Developer Posted July 6, 2015 No it does not work on Debian 7 64bit. linux environment. It does if you have java 8 1
Yabit Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 (edited) I have an RS 5+ account on Virmach and it cannot run a single mirror mode.By this I mean the 4 cores you get are constantly maxed out even with a simpler script like czars motherlode and its definitely not worth upgrading again paying like 40 per month for just 1 mirror client to work on a vps Edited July 6, 2015 by yabit 1
Chris Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 It does if you have java 8 I do but it gives me the "os not supported error"
Ericthecmh Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I do but it gives me the "os not supported error" What JVM? I'm assuming MGI made it for the Oracle JDK, not openjdk or any other one
Chris Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 What JVM? I'm assuming MGI made it for the Oracle JDK, not openjdk or any other one OpenVZ
Developer MGI Posted July 7, 2015 Developer Posted July 7, 2015 What JVM? I'm assuming MGI made it for the Oracle JDK, not openjdk or any other one Oracle is recommended, though openjdk is supported too. 2
