Official Script Developer?

If a scripter has work on the SDN they will recieve teh SDN Scripter rank. If the user has shown exceptional skill in script making, while making/maintaining good and premium scripts, the scripter will recieve the Official Scripter rank and access to it's sections.

He has 9 scripts in the SDN and a 10th on its way with several more planned. The rank is more than well aware of the effort and countless hours it takes to keep this scripts updated and you also know his scripts are undoubtedly in the top tier. He fixes bugs and responds to them faster than ANY OTHER SCRIPT DEVELOPER I've reported bugs to.

So, what's the holdup? If you've used any of his scripts feel free to post your experience.

I review OSD applications once a month and they are VERY time consuming; each application takes around a solid hour. If a scripter does not get approved, I will monitor their progress until the next review cycle. Unless you have exceptionally clean scripts which also demonstrate a high level of competency in Java, it's highly encouraged to branch out and include examples of other works (a video game, C# memory hack, ASM, etc).

For the record, I am the only one who reviews it. Previously the rank was handed out arbitrarily and was essentially given to those who were friends of admins/developers. I have taken away the OSD rank which was awarded by other Developers/Admins because they did not go through the same scrutiny I gave our current batch of OSDs.

With this said, I am not open to modifying how the rank is earned. There are a few scripters I have close tabs on and I occasionally review their script updates. The most important thing is a complete application. Many scripters never reach the rank because they are lacking solid answers or did not answer the question completely.

Common responses are "I know C++ and C#", with no demonstration. Hopefully this cleared up any confusion.

TL;DR Don't ask me why someone has or has not earned the rank.

Who's @Velocity
