I've been owning a .nl domain name from envato (the company behind, themeforest/audiojungle/graphicriver etc...)

And i have contacted them if they were intrested about it, and 1 week later i get a message that they were intrested in the domain and asked how much i was selling it for.

 

But i've no clue what i can ask for a domain like this.

As for the price I have no idea but I'm pretty sure it might be a 4-digit number :p

Tell them someone else is interested in it, and ask them for what they would pay. Tell them the highest offer wins (don't tell them the "amount" that the "other" guy is offering) 

The price they will give you would be the max they would pay for it.

This would be the best alternative to your situation.

I have seen websites that are very close to other website addresses which they have offers for like $4000 to buy

I've mailed them back if they could give me an offer instead.
