RoomScape Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I know they flag IPs and they stay flagged for a while - reused VPN's and proxies are still flagged - but does Jagex ever unflag an IP? I would hope so, after a certain amount of time, but I've never heard anyone say their flagged IP has been unflagged.

They email you to notify your IP has been unflagged.. If you are constantly banned on the same IP in a very short amount of time This could happen to anyone flagged or unflagged. My own experience was that I got at least 5+ mule botting accounts permed within 1 month of botting. And even after this I have been botting on my main without any problem so far. Maybe its because I had my main since 2007 and all them mule accounts were new and i used bonds for membership. I have a recurring membership on my main with a credit card
Botre Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 I don't think flags are entirely removed, but each one of them probably has a severity level attributed to them which decreases over time. IP flagging is kind of a joke though, so many workarounds :p Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they put a unique ID in each downloaded cache. And when an account gets busted the cache ID it logged in from would get flagged, as would any other account logging in from the now flagged cache ID. But again, this could easily be circumvented by deleting the cache every time you get banned. Just speculation of course.

I really doubt that To be able to flag IPs you first need to be able to detect macros accurately, which took a while. I agree that this is all speculation though. They do track your IP activity however, try making too many new accounts in a certain time frame for example, at a certain moment you will not be able to anymore.
RoomScape Posted August 5, 2014 Author Posted August 5, 2014 I thought that maybe if you haven't used an IP in a while that Jagex will unflag it thinking you aren't botting on that IP anymore. Obviously they won't if they keep having bans relating to that IP, but if the IP goes inactive, wouldn't they have a reason to unflag it?
