How to win a PayPal chargeback dispute

If you are unfortunate enough to deal with the level of scum that would chargeback for an item they received from you.

  1. When the person creates the dispute against you, reply and state that this was for virtual goods.
  2. Escalate the dispute to a claim and give all evidence as if you were disputing in a OSBot dispute. Include images, links, pictures of the trade, chat and the OSBot dispute. Be sure you explain what information you are giving to them and mention multiple times that the goods were virtual
  3. Call PayPal. Be ready to verify your account via phone and contact a Dispute representative. Again, explain what the charge back was from and allow the support specialist to review your case.
  4. Win back your money

Hopefully this helps you. It just worked for me :)

Does it help a lot if you call them?

Yeah, a lot of representatives will take your side because 99% of them don't know what they're doing. If someone is charging you back and you tell them it was a virtual payments, they'll tell you that the Ebay/Paypal buyer protection does not cover intangible goods and will resolve the dispute in your favor.

A majority of times whenever I would ask a question, they would have to look in "The Book", then ill have to wait for 20 minutes. :p

Is there a selection option for virtual goods. I only get the option to show proof of departure.

That is where you need to call them

We still have the guide Ironhide gave which is a lot more in-depth. unsure.png

I was linked to it but didn't want to read that at all. I want step by step. Easy and clear.
