killakid20
Im sure people use a middle man, but cant the person that sold it just recover it after the transaction? Whats done during the transaction to prevent this?
Epsilon
I'd suggest buying off a trusted member of the community, make sure it hasn't got any sort of protection and that they are willing to provide all of the required information for any protection it has. Impassive
The owner can always recover it. You just gotta use your judgement and buy from someone that won't scam you. I bought an account for 24m and it's been fine.
Extreme Scripts
As with anything you need to do your research, here are a list of some things you may want to look out for: 100 Post count- MUST Trusted member (somewhat)- Judge from feedback/forum presence Trade with caution history? Yes/No Any disputes against the user in the past? Yes/No Hold any Ranks on OSBot? Offer is reasonable not too cheap/ridiculous What information they are willing to provide on sale to recover the account etc. These should be a few things you should definitely look at before purcchasing any account

Pkaaay
Bottom line - you can't be guaranteed that it won't be recovered back... Previous suggestions on trusted members are worth their weight in gold. Using a trusted middle man if you're trading for RSGP is a good idea.

Foo
100 post count does not prove how legit a person is at all. Rest of your bullet points is common sense really 100 posts is the most basic of gating mechanics and is usually indicating that the person is involved with the community in someway. Mitch
I sold 2 mains recently, never got the urge to recover them.Just trust the person you buy them from, show good judgement. ;)
Catastrophe
100 post count does not prove how legit a person is at all. Rest of your bullet points is common sense really If you want to talk about common sense, then you should never buy an account off of ANYONE in the first place. 90% of the time they will ALWAYS be recovered, regardless of rank, regardless of viability. Asking for insurance is futile, as there isn't any. Account selling/buying is a risky trade.
