Scripts work the same for everyone, if you can run the client you can run the script. So if even one person reports a bug its most likely a problem with the script. Unless the user filled out the GUI wrong or using outdated client causing the different results, which does happen. Scripts don't work the same for everyone since not everyone runs it on the same computer / internet. It's impossible to account for all the different possible setups, but any script should at least be able to run on an average system with an average internet connection. What you can't expect script writers to do is reducing the quality of their code (quality, even for the most efficient programmers, comes at a price and that price is processing power) in order for it to work on a potato.
