I think it'd be beneficial to have the client detect when there is an upcoming update by reading the "Servers will restart in..." message in the RS console, and then have it force close the client.

It seems that a lot of my delayed bans occur when I forget to close my clients on Thursdays, so once I wake up after the update & I log into my accounts, I get banned 2 seconds later.

This isn't 100% proven, but could be a possibility on decreasing bans.

Support!!!! Would definitely help decrease bans I think.... smile.png

Or we can choose not to bot the night before an RS update.

P.S. I was first. rolleyes.gif

How would logging into runescape after an update get you banned?

Maybe when they update they just ban all the people on their list during the update.

That's why I was saying that it isn't 100% proven, but could be an easy addition in order to test & see if the theory is right.

Since this is mainly the only time that my accounts get banned, would be worth adding if there is a possibility of it stopping the bans.

I'll bot my accounts this whole week, and then once next weeks update comes around, I'll be sure to stop my bots prior to the update to see what happens.
