Silencing the community, and obeying the rules are two different things. If you can't go a few posts without breaking the rules, then that is your own fault. In no way did i say "don't post" I said stay on topic. The OP said somethings, if you stray off topic, like a few have. I will delete the post. If it continues, I will warn the person.

You're a hypocrite, dude. You broke rules right in your introduction by mentioning other bots. Should you be warned for that? I don't think so, because you told me you couldn't read the rules (404 error). If I had posted something like that, a couple of gmods would've jumped me on the warning button.

You guys are supposed to enforce rules, I fully agree.. but some of you don't seem to know where to draw the line.

You don't have to be a nazimod to be a good gmod.

This is one way not to ever choose moderators. That is a staff decision, letting regular members have an input will just not go over well. Then it ends up being a popularity contest, who can buddy up with numerous people to get them to vote.  Also boils down to, do the current moderators do their job. If you have had a problem with me not doing my job. I will gladly hear you out. This is something you guys need to take up with Kati or post feedback.

Which is why I said party based on, and choose 2 members, so obviously those two members can act it out as a campaign, even if one wins, doesn't mean he/she'll be mod, just influence Kati's vote. I know you mean well, but you should've read a bit more carefully.

Okay, seriously. This is an ignorant thread.

The moderators are fine. Leave them alone. It's not your choice on who the mods are and how they do their job.

But in all honesty, who is Maldesto and where did he come from?

This is ignorant, because .......... ?

The moderators are not fine. There are a bunch of unneccessary problems because some of them are being far too strict, so that hardly counts as 'fine'.

Maldesto introduced himself.. check out his introduction in that category.

Yeah.. there's a reason this topic is here. ;)

Actually It is true, I made the introduction within my first 5 posts. I didn't know the rules. I honestly thought when i came to this site, it was going to be just like the other site. I thought it was the same owners. I then discovered it wasn't. Notice the introduction post is edited. I can't view the rules, it is true. Warnings do nothing. Yet you react like you get two warnings and your banned. You will in no way get banned if your a first time rule breaker, you will get a warning post to not do it again. If you proceed to do it, you will eventually get a temporary ban.

I was not a moderator at the time of the post, nor did i know the rules. I have not been a strict mod whatsoever. I just got the opportunity. I took it, and you would do the same. Actually i did get warned after i was a moderator for posting my introduction. Someone over skype said "hey you can't mention other bot here" He said " i already edited it just a heads up" I went back and edited the other post i mentioned it in also.

What's all this yabbing about? Coming from a guy who speaks his mind and general doesn't lean towards the Staff's side, most of times they are right. The community is fresh and needs constant Moderators and Admin to clear out unnecessary threads/posts.

I agree that he closed down the GFX thread, I posted a thread a few weeks ago regarding the Service Provider integrity and how often people are being scammed. Before staff have settled to the point where they may stamp 'VERIFIED' on a person people shouldn't go out posted, VOUCHED/TRUSTED unless they got alot of good feedback from SEPARATE individuals.

Also Moderators may be biased at times, it's only natural but you guys are simply jumping the gun and trying to raise awareness to make everyone think they aren't doing a good job. They are and we have nothing to complain.

Want me to complain? Here we go, half of you guys acting all super smart and super goody to look good and hopefully get some staff role, even though i sound like a hypocrite saying this as I was one who applied for forum Moderator AGES ago but never got an answer.

Moderators should be themselves and if they do something wrong just explain why they did so and I'm SURE 9/10 will understand.

@Maldesto:
I know I won't be banned from one or two warnings. However, it annoys me when I'm warned for something so, so small. I was actually warned for giving another community member a heads up after he was scammed twice on the same day. I told him I suspected a buyer to be a scammer and Rare gave me a warning. The second time, I posted a YouTube link that had EVERYTHING to do with the topic and Rare gave me a warning stating "your post has nothing to do with the topic." -- But, no hard feelings there. I don't dislike Rare. I just feel there are far better choices when it comes to gmod promotions.

I wasn't referring to you with 'strict mod'.. it was a general statement. I should've been more clear. wink.png

@Booch:
What if a gmod doesn't accept feedback and thinks he's right all the time? Was definitely the problem in my case!

I understand. I have no harsh feelings towards anyone. I am not bias at all. If you break the rules a lot you will receive proper punishment. If you were warned for what you said you were, it shouldn't of been a warning. I will not warn anyone that doesn't deserve it. Especially someone helping out someone.

Listen I won't shut the thread, as long as it stays on topic, and isn't turned into a big flame war. As i have said, Talk in a proper manner, and watch what you say. This is about staff, and you guys are talking down to Kati and the other admins also. If you are questioning their choices.

I've removed the content that is offensively directed towards a specific member or group. Please be mindful of others.

The staff team is still not laid out as the community is new, there is of course going to be new globals.

Perhaps you should take the proper procedures when given false warnings.  This is definitely in the "Warning Appeals" section, not the site feedback section.  If you would like to appeal, you may do so.

Thank you for bringing my eyes to these situations, however I'm disappointed in your irresponsible method of getting this information to me.

This topic is closed. There's no need to discuss any of the content posted, as it is not only in the wrong section, but offensive towards our staff.

Edit: As for pre-mature closing, I'll address the staff on this.
