Invisible NPC Talking Random

Featured Replies

Hey, my bots have been activating a random solver called "Talking Random Solver" a lot recently and it just keeps hovering over on the same spot even though nothing is there.

So I would just close the client and reopen it and get it set back up and things would go back to normal until it got that random solver again.

But today I decided to try and find out what the fuck was causing this, so I turned on the NPC id debug on the bot and a npc id popped up where the bot kept trying to click at, even there was no visible npc there, here is a screenshot of it

I also turned on the NPC id debug on 1 of my other bots that was in the same area, but the npc id did not show up for this bot.

I am guessing that runescape is using this to find and ban bots recently since the invisible npc is only showing up to 1 account, and not all accounts at a time. This may be what has been causing all of these permanent bans lately.

EDIT: Here is another of my accounts with the same thing, but this time with the random solver activated

Same thing happens to me sometimes when I'm fighting and whatever NPC I killed has their ID being left in the same place, even though their dead. Mouse just hovers over the spot where the invisible "thing" is :(

On-Topic: I've gotten this issue as-well with flesh crawler ID's, even after I'm back in Varrock bank the IDs are still on screen.

Next time, make sure that you use the Error/Bug Report Template, here.

I pretty much used that format besides saying what client version I used

Plus, when did this erro / bug format come out? Never noticed it before

Anyways any input on this from a developer?

I can't but imagine that this is causing a lot of bans seeing as the bot just keeps hovering the mouse over the same couple spots for hours on hours

I've never seen that before...That must be new.

Maybe that's their new BotBusting method?

Other bots have solved this problem

When a user detect this invisible ''Event'' JAGEX know its a bot and make it easy for em to BAN!

Most of the invisible NPCs are just NPCs that your character can't access yet such as those from quests.

Yea, but a npc from a quest wouldn't just come up to someone while they are not even doing the quest.

And the npc only shows for the 1 account, not all of the accounts nearby

Hopefully something will be done about this, you would think that since this is possibly a new method Jagex is using to ban accounts that a fix for this would of been released already.

Let's put our tin foil hats on... Dear god... I will just get some "popcorn" and proceed to read this hilarious topic.

This is clearly a client issue. For some reason some random event NPCs get glitched out and they remain there as invisible. It's hilarious to me how you think this is a new way for Jagex to detect bots.

There was a similar issue with ***bot (the other bot) ages ago. I remember when people had this same discussion on that forum back then. It's still as hilarious as ever. Needless to say, as the client got better, these kind of issues didn't remain.

Well sparky, even if it may not be a way for jagex to detect bots, I am pretty sure that an account standing in the same spot for hours and hovering the mouse over the same few spots for hours upon hours is pretty bot like, and if they do in fact have some kind of anti-bot system I am sure as hell that this would trigger it.

I always said, jagex will find ways to detect if your using there client or not.

Well don't act suprised, im sure they do plan on killing bots eventually for good

I hope sparky wasn't meant as an insult, because I have no idea what it means.

I never stated they can't use it to detect bots. I only stated that it's not a new way for Jagex to detect bots. They didn't do this intentionally. It's just a client issue. So please, go and cry to the admins some more. They are responsible of the client.
