Banned, servers 'experiencing issues'

Well, we got banned. I’m trying to figure out whether it’s a 2-day ban or a permanent one, but it’s not looking good. I can’t even check my account right now since both the Jagex and RuneScape sites are having issues. Is that a good or bad sign?

Has anyone else experienced this and gone through the appeal process? I’ve never had to appeal a potential ban before.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ya idk why it does that for some accounts, I have the same error on some account, while others work fine

Do you have any experience in appealing a ban? Would love to hear what would be the best way and reason to give to get it back.

I've appealed my main account (2k+ total) before and I got denied twice. The first appeal a JMOD replied saying that the ban was not applied incorrectly, second appeal was automatically denied.

The first appeal I lied and said the account was hijacked, second appeal I admitted to using scripts. 

From personal experience and what I've read online, some accounts will get unbanned after a 2-3 year period if you're lucky. This happened to one of my accounts back in 2015 without submitting any appeal but some say it happens if you submit an appeal after 3 years.

Most likely you're shit out of luck though, as of recent Jagex seems to be way harsher when it comes to punishing RWT and macroing. If you want any hopes of getting the account back I would wait 3 years before submitting an appeal and in that appeal be completely honest and apologize.

in the recent banwave they were only giving out permanent ones, even if you are a member
i have the same issue that i am unable to appeal due to the same message
if it lets you do it just choose "other" and say you made a mistake and ask for pardon, otherwise it will probably get rejected

I got a 2 day ban on a throw away.
