i am currently in the 11th grade and im taking AP pre-cal, next year for my 12th grade year i am debating between AP stats or AP cal... what do you think would be best to take?

ap calc thats what i took and i loved it

 

Also depends on what you are majoring in for college but either way i would highly suggest AP Calc

Totally depends on what you want to be versed in. If you will need cal 1-3 for college, then ap calc would be the best option. 

Also for college math, there isnt really a highest math course. Its just what ever the highest one is that you have to take. 

Highest could just depend on what course you think is the hardest.

I'm currently in AP Stats, and it's mostly analyzing and comparing data along with graphing (so far).

Decent English skills are a necessity for the course because you often need to write about any trends or causation in the data.

Most of the math is just simple division and converting to percentages and any equations are done on a graphing calculator.

The workload is quite heavy, mostly because a simple problem can take you over 15 minutes to complete.

 

AP Calc is more math heavy.

I am currently not enrolled in this course and I don't plan on taking it during my tenure at high school, so I couldn't tell you much about it.

 

Whatever one you decide to choose, if not both, make sure you are keeping up with the homework.

Entering the class with the attitude of "I don't need to do homework, I'll just ace the tests" is not a good idea, and will backfire on you very quick.

Im taking ap calc and stats and I like calc better so far.  Stats is too much writing for what you are actually solving. 

 

I took AP Calc junior year and I'm taking AP Stats currently.

 

Take both if you can. Both are great for different things. AP Calc is a BITCH though. MUCH harder than AP Stat and pre-cal, depending on how in-depth your teacher goes (our AP Calc was no joke like most "AP" classes). I personally enjoy AP Stat more because it feels more useful to me. Sure, calculus is useful for a LOT of shit, but nothing I ever plan on doing.

Take AP calc, stats is easy as fuck in highschool & college, calc is a bitch (in comparison, still pretty meh). If you can get calc 1 and 2 done in HS (they were both integrated into the same course in my highschool) you won't have to take it in college which is awesome if theyre pre-reqs for your major (they probably will be if you have any hard major)

Lol I'm a senior taking pre-cal honors

Stat would be easier but Cal would-look better.
